"THE" Rhyperior Deck for States

Pokemon:25
3-1-3-1 Rhyperior/Lv.X
2-2 Delcatty (PL)
3-1 Uxie/Lv.X
4 Sableye
2 Dialga (PL 5)
1-0-1 Alakazam
1 Azelf

Traniers/Supporter/Stadium:22
4 Roseanne's Research
3 Bebe's Search
1 Luxury Ball
2 Premier Ball
4 Felicity's Drawing
4 Super Scoop Up
3 Rare Candy
1 Night Maintanance

Energy:13
3 Call
10 Fighting

The idea is to of course do massive amounts of damage using Rhyperior Lv.x's free attack, Hard Crush. However, inorder for the damage to happen you must discard the top 5 cards of your deck. If thats not bad enough, the cards discarded must be energy inorder for the attack to do damage (=50X). This caused one of the most powerful pokemon in the format to be unused due to its random amounts of damage (0-250).That was until Platinum was released and opened many new doors and a few windows for many decks especially Rhyperior with 2 new cards, Delcatty and Dialga.

Delcatty is a 90HP/Stage1 colorless-type pokemon with a power that can return up to 2 basic energy cards from your discard pile and place them on top of your deck at the cost of Delcatty taking 2 damage counters. This card combos well with other cards like Blastoise and Octillary but is best used IMO with Rhyperior. It takes away the random damage done by Hard Crush and gives you a minimum 100 damage a turn.
Now with Platinum also came Ampharos with a poke-body that shuts off poke-powers on pokemon with damage counters. This hurts Delcatty because it damages itself after using its power. You could counter this with another Platinum card, Dialga G Lv.x or work around it with Dialga (PL 5).

Unlike Delcatty, Dialga is a 100HP basic Metal-type pokemon with a power much like the trainer card, night maintanance, where you select up to 3 in any combination of pokemon and energy (excluding Lv.X) from your discard pile, but rather then shuffling them back into your deck their placed on top instead. This power gets around Ampharos due to its "coming into play power" from your hand onto your bench with no damage. Dialga is the reason for so many SSU (that and Uxie).

Alakazam is a 100HP/Stage 2 psyhic-type pokemon used for his Poke-power, Power Cancel, which allows me to stop only one of my opponents poke-powers by discarding 2 cards from my hand. This lets me not only stop a power but also put energy in the discard pile for Delcatty/Dialga.

Sableye is a 60HP basic Dark-type pokemon with a body that lets me go first at the start of the game plus take and discard a supporter from my deck with its free attack, Impersonate, and use the effect of that supporter as the effect of the attack. The supporter that you want to dicard is Felicity's Drawing inorder to discard energy for Delcatty/Dialga.

Uxie/LV.x is a 70HP basic psyhic pokemon that is used as for draw. I picked Uxie over Claydol because its faster plus bypasses Ampharos poke-body. Uxie Lv.X is good for its drawing ability along with its speedy attack for 60 damage.

As for the traniers and energy, I would like to improve upon them but its becoming a challange to decide what to add in or replace.

Other than that, it seem like a solid choice for states with only a few bad-match ups but only time will tell.

I reckon you could fit in 2 luxury ball, you discard cards, so you can just get rid of the extra one with a power or rhyperiors discard.

If he does that though, and has the second one, while the other is discarded, he can't play it. In some decks 2 is okay, but here it is not.

2 luxury ball would be helpful but what could be removed for it.

I also think that Marly's request would do wonders in a deck like this but I just can't fit it.

If you are running a 1-0-1 tech, you NEED 4 Rare Candy.

Broken Time Space is something else you should consider running here IMO, with 1-2 more Rhydon. Being able to evolve into Rhyperior, SSU, then evolve the whole line back down that same turn for another Earth Fissure is amazing.

I would also switch your Bebe's/Roseanne's ratio, drop a Fighting for the 4th Call, and find some way to up your Rare Candy to 4 if you do not add any Broken Time Space.

What do you do when you can't get the whole engine up and running? Defecate yourself? Rhyperior's Rock Wrecker isn't terribly good. Upthrow's decent in that it allows for more Hard Crushing without your engine, but still, sixty for three is underwhelming. And Rhydon in and of itself isn't that hot.

4-2-3-1 Rhyperior/Lv.X
2-2 Delcatty (PL)
3-1 Uxie/Lv.X
2-2 Claydol
1 Regirock
1 Azelf
=== (24) Pokemanz ===

4 Bebe's Search
4 Rare Candy/BTS
3 Super Scoop Up
3 Roseanne's Research
3 Night Maintanance
2 Stark Mountain
1 Luxury Ball
1 Premier Ball
=== (20) Trainers ===

4 Call
11 Fighting
=== (14) Energy ===

^^ Designed to somewhat address the issue. You, in my opinion, overdid the discard.

Maybe I did overdue the discard but removing every single discaring card in the deck doesn't help rhyperior. Why would I need regirock when I'm not trying to use any attack other than Hard Crush. If you read the first post then you'll understand.

IMO, Dialga is very useful as a searchable Delcatty just in case. But if you can think of somthing more useful, than please share.

You don't need that much discard. Just enough to set the wheels in motion. I do understand, but I'm saying until you can consistently set up the 150s, it's best for you to have an out, a.k.a. his other attack.

IMO, -2 Stark Mountain, +2 BTS. you say yourself, you are only using Hard Crush, so stark mountain is kind of redundant. and having 4 RC AND 2 BTS will improve consistency.
