Raicharge

Back when Majestic Dawn was the newest set, I was running around using a deck called "Raivire". It used Electivire DP as a main attacker. I eventually found the deck to be too slow, and dropped it. Now, with Raichu SF out, I think it can make a comeback, but with a different main attacker.

20 Pokemon
2-2-1 Electivire SW (2 Electabuzz SW, 2 Electivire SW, 1 Electivire LV.X)
4-3-1 Raichu SF (4 Pikachu MD, 3 Raichu SF, 1 Raichu LV.X SF)
2-2 Claydol
1 Rayquaza
2 Rotom MD

15 Energy
15 Lightning Energy

25 Trainers:
4 Bebe's
4 Felicity's
4 Roseanne's
2 Night Maintenance
1 Luxury Ball
3 Premier Ball
3 TGW
4 Energy Link

Strategy:
Use Raichu as the main attacker, and use Burst Ball (100 damage, 3 energy, discard 3 energy from any pokemon), while using Electivire and Rayquaza to get the energy back.

Cards I had considered:

Bronzong MT
Miracle Oracle: discard an energy, draw two cards, or one non-energy and draw.
Pros: Discarding energy is a good thing in this deck, as is drawing.
Cons: Can't attack, high retreat cost, takes up bench space.

Energy Switch
For low energy emergencies.

Bronzong SF
Cycler: put a card into the deck, get two energies!
Pros: good energy acceleration.
Cons: Can't attack, high retreat cost, takes up bench space.

Pacharisu GE
Pros: Searches for basics.
Cons: Takes up space, easy KO.

Pichu SF
Attack: 0 energy, search discard for 4 energies, put into hand.
Pros: good for when you don't have rayquaza or electivire, or need to attach them to different pokemon. Also, can be evolved into pikachu to prevent an easy KO.
Cons: none.

I need a card to speed up energy attachment. Any ideas? I'm stuck during the first three turns doing nothing/attacking with pikachu. NOT GOOD.

Any help is appreciated. Thank you. ^_^

You could try Rotom MD for your early-game energy attachment. Felicity's puts Lightning Energy in the discard for Rotom to fish out. 1-2 would suffice.

Pichu/Memory Berry seems like a bit of a hassle.

I've added 2 Rotom, and taken out 2 Lightning Energy. I've also taken out the 4 Energy Pickup (wasn't sure, turned out to not be worth it.) to add in 4 more Lightning Energy.

I know it kinda is. but it allows Raichu to search for 4 energy, and not worry about giving up a prize
