Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire-Latios & Latias

How long did it take you to get your Latios or Latias? Also where was the first encounter? Any other tips would be nice, im not looking for cheats, just tips.

It's obnoxious finding them. But if you have a wobbufet as your lead pokemon that's one level lower than the lati and use max repel, you can go in and out of a route, searching the grass. If it is there, then it will show up eventually. If not, the repel will keep other pokemon away. It's a great trick. Besides, the wobbufet makes it impossible for the lati to run. Just be careful that you don't KO it using mirror coat if you aren't using a master ball.

Easy way:

Any Lv.100 Pokemon with maxed out Speed Evs (I used Crobat)
Attack with Mean Look.
Then use any pokemon with False Swipe

Bob's your uncle.

They easy way to encounter it is to, well its a long procces to tell, so just go to youtube and look for "How to catch Latias/Latios in 3 minutes or less!", its legit too, no gameshark or anything, it is how i got mine.

Yeah, that's the most efficient way.
You should get a Master ball before anything else though.
Or like what Napoleon suggested.
What you do is:
1) Fly to Slateport City
2) Walk up to the biking area, there's a small patch of grass there
3) Use a Repel, and walk around. If nothing, go in the biking area and come back
(By the way, you should get the [Aero?] bike, the one that jumps to make things easier.
