Is this venue 100% correct, or could it be changed again?

Ok...
Kempton Park is not Thorpe Park. The venue is "locked" (so will not change) Date will also will now not change. The date change unfortunatly had to occur due to the change in venue. Register at uknationals@dnagames.org.uk ONLY. Thanks D & A Games |

Good question.
It would be nice to have this settled in advance. It will be a nightmare if the new set is released just days before Nationals and people are trying desperately to get the new cards in time. Also pretty unfair on people who don't buy boxes or have the right contacts.

Don't you mean DP-BET.
I think they should make ET legal for nats, it sure would make things alot more interesting |

Do we even have a release date for BET yet? Do we even have the English set name?
Do you really want to face cards released a couple of days before Nats? Card that might have loads of dodgy rulings that haven't been decided yet? Not everyone reads spoilers, and they shouldn't have to either. I guess it's one way of making sure everyone goes to prereleases ;)

From Policy.... 16. New Pokémon TCG Releases Expansion sets are expected to be released on a regular schedule, averaging four new sets per calendar year. Cards from these new releases are made legal for tournament play the day that the set is released for regular retail sale in a rating zone, and not before. So if the street legal date (The date you can by the set from the shops) is before May 16th, yes this will be legal for the Nationals. If it is not - no it won't be. |

Urgh, I really hope BET isn't released days before nationals. Its unfair on alot of people, and doesn't give enough time to test.

Even if it doesn't become legal before nats there are still alot of playable decks out there, most better than other. All the more reason to wins nats eh =P then when worlds arrives it will be epic with all the new decks!!

venomex - could you confirm please that preregistration does not need to be repeated for Nationals? Will food be pre-arranged as before, or will players need to make arrangements for lunch? Also, is there a limit to the number of guests players can have with them (there was for Thorpe Park). Thanks Chris.

Will we receive some sort of Confirmation email upon pre registration for nats?

Ok: 1) Food - Unfortunately free food will not be availible. However there are concession stands (Burgers/chips/etc) on site so you should not need to bring any food. 2) No - If you emailed to pre register already your name is down on the list. 3) There is no limit to guests (within reason). There will be an area for "parents" and some demo areas for younger players/new players to learn the game. Also some other "bits" to keep people amused which we have not announced yet ![]() Look forward to seeing you all there!! Quote:
Back to back posts merged. The following information has been added: As an addition to this: Please note the Street Legal date for next set will be May 20th. This means this will NOT be legal for Nationals. Last edited by venomex; 03/16/2009 at 12:59 PM. Reason: Doublepost Eliminator |

Just a note on the street date for the next set. It is not unheard of for the release date to change at short notice. Usually it is pushed back. The distributors I use are not showing anything yet for the street date.
For anyone who wants to make T4 at nationals I'd advise them to have backup plans in place just in case the set is street legal prior to the date of UK nationals. |
