Ho-oh & Unknown G VS. Azlef Lv. X

If i have G on Ho-oh will it stop Azlef from doing deep balance. Also will it help against the lost zone, will i still keep all energy or will i lose them to the lost zone.

Yes. Placing damage counters is an effect.
Unown G will prevent attacks from sending a Pokemon and attached cards to the lost zone.
