This deck is something that jsut popped into my head. Whether or not it works yet I can't say: I jsut posted it for poseterity. I hope to test it tonight or tomorrow. Here's the deck:
Gojira Pokemon x 20 Cleffa Lv6 x 3 (Neo Genesis) Eevee Lv14 x 3 (Neo Discovery) Espeon C-70 x 2 (Aquapolis) Larvitar B-22 x 4 (Expedition) Pupitar Lv32 x 2 (Neo Discovery) Pupitar D-26 x 2 (Auqapolis) Tyranitar B-95 x 3 (Expedition) Tyrogue Lv8 x 2 (Neo Discovery) Trainers x 22 Copycat x 3 (Expedition) Double Gust x 3 (Neo Genesis) Energy Charge x 2(Expedition) Gold Bery x 3 (Neo Genesis) Healing Field x 3 (Neo Revelation) Pokemon Trader x 3(Legendery Collection) Professor Oak's Research x 3 (Expedition) Switch x 1 (Legendery Collection) Town Volunteers x 1 (Aquapolis) Energy Cards x 18 Darkness Energy x 4 (Neo Genesis) Full-Heal Energy x 2 (Legendery Collection) Potion Energy x 3 (Legendery Collection) Psychic Energy x 6 Recycle Energy x 2 (Neo Genesis) Warp Energy x 1(Aquapolis)
Power Up T-tar, then use Espy's Power to constantly re-attach Potion or Full-Heal Energy as needed thnks to Espeon. Espeon also should help deal with many Fighting Types that T-tar is weak too, and makes a great cleaner if you have managed to damage the bench (which is one of T-tars specialties), as well as nearly being capable of OHKOing Muk. Since this is for use with WotC rules (naturally), one could also drop a Dark on it gauranteeing you can OHKO a Muk, then send the Darkness back to ahnd the next turna nd retreat to T-tar. Overall I think the deck looks fun and feasible. I would appreciate other input though.
Thanks for your time.
Oh, and if I spelled it right, Gojira is Japanese for Godzilla. Can't find my book that had it though...
Edit: First test versus a Light Dragonite Deck was mixed. I am still optimistic though (it took like 5 turns of near continous drawing, sometimes through both Cleffa and a Trainer, to get my first Larvitar, but my opponent actually mamanged to forget to include Double Gusts in his deck. I may also try this deck with Neo Genesis Steelix, and submit that for the Pojo contest. [ July 15, 2003, 07:15 PM: Message edited by: Otaku ]

*sigh* Don't remind me about the double-gusts taku lol
I took a 3 prize lead really early and just mowed down his poke's...then he got a t-tar and espy goin'. He healed for 30 most turns(except when HF failed), and even though I had 3 powered light dragonites with gold berries, they could only hit for 40 each. He had gone through one of my dragonites by the time he got another t-tar goin'. Now he had a warp energy that he could just call back and replay every turn that he wanted to retreat. Revolving door t-tar So he's hitting for 50-60 each turn with some bench damage, and even though I managed to hang on for a long time and get down to 1 prize, I still couldn't quite pull off the win due to my lack of double-gusts. It's good to note that I got very lucky flips early on. KO'ed a couple babies, and got set up really fast, compared with otaku who took a long time to get his evo's out. Why? Bad luck mainly. We ran similair lines for our stage 2 and our draw engines didn't differ much either. I don't like to think how it would have gone if that was reversed, but I assure you very painfully for me
It's a really good deck and I plan to borrow some ideas(mainly the espy) for a few of my own creations.
Don't think it'll work? You try fighting a 120HP t-tar that can heal up to 30 every turn for free and swap places with his buddy as needed while hitting for 50-60 every turn with bench damage piled on top.
In conclusion: me likies
And now that I'm done draining every ounce of intelligence from this post at 11PM, I think I'll go to bed...g'night folks

Hmm... I can't say anything bad about this, because I KNOW you'll play me, and knowing my luck, I'll lose. Well, as for the Pokemon,... Pupitar... I'd just do all Aquapolis. But that's your choice. Besides that, they're fine.
Energy...I know it's not a necessity, but Muk is a real pain with Tyranitar. Just somehow find a way to throw a few in there, in case you can't manage to get all 4 Darkness. Maybe... Lose the Recycle Energy, and make them Rainbow. Also, drop the Warp Energy, and turn it into another Switch.
Finally, for Trainers, it's not exactly like I'd do it, but as it is, it doesn't look as if anything's majorly bad here.
Overall, it appears that if you could get everything out and running at the same time, it should be fine, and odds are, will beat my deck. -_- Now all that's left is to prove it against me. Good job.

Newest version of Gojira (also confirmed the spelling).
Pokemon x 20 Cleffa Lv6 x 3 (Neo Genesis) Eevee Lv14 x 3 (Neo Discovery) Espeon C-70 x 2 (Aquapolis) Larvitar B-22 x 3 (Expedition) Pupitar D-26 x 3 (Auqapolis) Tyranitar B-95 x 3 (Expedition) Tyrogue Lv7 x 2 (Neo Discovery) Umbreon Lv40 x 1 (Neo Discovery)
Trainers x 22 Copycat x 3 (Expedition) Double Gust x 3 (Neo Genesis) Energy Charge x 2 (Neo Genesis) Gold Bery x 3 (Neo Genesis) Healing Field x 2 (Neo Revelation) Pokemon Center x 1 (Legendery Collection) Pokemon Trader x 3 (Legendery Collection) Professor Oak's Research x 3 (Expedition) Switch x 1 (Legendery Collection) Town Volunteers x 1 (Aquapolis)
Energy Cards x 18 Darkness Energy x 4 (Neo Genesis) Full-Heal Energy x 2 (Legendery Collection) Potion Energy x 3 (Legendery Collection) Psychic Energy x 5 Recycle Energy x 2 (Neo Genesis) Warp Energy x 2 (Aquapolis)
Umby counters Metal if necessary (i.e. they get a super fast start or you super slow). Center just ticks them off sicne if yuou are going to lose the Pokemon anyway, jsut suck up all its energy. Kudos to Drakeo for that idea.
