Player A's Deck
Pokemon 16 4 Scyther Promo 3 Scizor AQ. 3 Grimer AQ. 2 Muk AQ. 2 Tyrogue 2 Cleffa
Trainers 30 4 Elm 2 Copycat 3 Pokemon Trader 2 Bill's Maitnance 3 Bill 4 Gold Berry 4 Switch 2 Double Gust 1 Town Volunteers 4 Grass Cube 01 1 Metal Cube 01
Energy 14 10 Grass 4 Metal
Player B's Deck
Pokemon 18 4 Gastly 2ND 2LC 3 Dark Haunter 3 Dark Gengar 2 Misdreavos NR 2 Murkrow 2 Cleffa 2 Tyrogue
Trainers 26 4 Elm 4 Bill 2 Bill's Maitnance 2 Trader 3 Boss's Way 4 Gold Berry 2 Darkness Cube 1 Town Volunteers 4 Switch
Energy 16 12 Psychic 4 Darkness
The Strategy is to use Muk to Poison Pokemon and Burn them for mass damage while keeping them asleep with Dark Gengar. Scizor is there for lots of damage and it cant be Poisoned because we all know how popular poisoning is on this format. The Grass cube is awsome with these decks.

How 'bout getting rid of Misdreavus? These facts: -needs 3 energy -needs 2 turns to KO with no change in active -only has 50 HP coupled with the fact that many folks run switch/dg means that he is going to get whacked, probably before she does anything.
I like to play SI Mew with Dark Gengar; this could also work well with TMP. With D. Gengar, you have a weak PKMN in this format, even with Rockets Hideout, so you use him to sleep/damage, sleep/damage but keep pulling in fresh PKMN to the attack and not KO anyone. If you do, then you're going to get taken down by the next baddie and have to build up a stage 2/3 energy again. Then when you have them all as whacked as possible, drop SI mew and a rainbow (focus if you have it). Now do 20 to all the PKMN of a color and pick up 1-4 KO. If someone gets MEW (he's too tempting with 30HP and to threatening to leave alone) you have D. Gengar to repeat the cycle or you've elminated the baddies and can start mopping up the baby PKMN.
In team, sleep is a weak status, SO, you might put a promo iggly buff on the the second squad so that you can keep them asleep. Also, you need something to stop them from just DG/Switch at will. Noctowl would be good in this deck set.
If you like D. Gengar, then you might think about JUST AQ Scizor in the second squad and put Noctowls as the backup in both. Remember, in TMP, both your opponents will be holding LOTS of trainers for two turns.

Be cautious using Dark Gengar in team play. I love the card, but in team the person who is asleep flips after EACH players turn, not just before and after HIS turn.
Sleep isn't the greatest special condition in team.

Keeping someone asleep while there poisoned and burned will dominate.

but i must add something to what u mentioned Dark and Vile. With Dark Gengar's power, your opponent has to flip 2 coins (or roll 2 dice) and believe me, its pretty hard to get 2 heads. Evil, dont ya think?

I'm well aware of Dark Gengar's power. I won the 15+ tournament at the Washington, DC Gym Challenge last year using it.
But in team, your opponent doesn't just flip at the beginning and end of HIS turn, he flips between EVERY turn.
So even flipping 2 coins, that's a lot of opportunities to wake up.
To make matters even worse, Warp Energy has been added as yet another way to un-condition yourself. (On a side note, Murkrow's Lock has been made obsolete due to Warp Energy)
