I made this strange deck up the other day, and the strategy is to slow down the opponent enough to get a Porygon out [ROFL] , turn the Defending Pokemon's Weakness to Metal, then retreat to Scizor, use False Swipe for the KO, then repeat as needed. Or, I could just cripple the opponent with Trainers, then get a Porygon to turn most of the opponent's Pokemon Weak to Metal, then, Knock one out after the other...

Pokemon:

4 Scyther (Jungle/B2)
3 Scizor (Neo2)
3 Slowpoke (Fossil)
2 Slowking (Neo1)
3 Porygon (Rocket)
2 Cleffa (Neo1)

Energy:
4 DCE
4 Rainbow
3 Metal (Will remove 1 Rainbow for a 4th Metal when I get one)

Trainers:
4 Bill
3 RSA
3 IOR
3 Rocket's Trap
3 Energy Removal (Don't have enough Energy in my deck to use SER)
3 Computer Search
3 Gust of Wind
2 Oak (Don't want to deck out at ALL)
2 Switch (Scizor's retreat cost, few energy in deck)
2 Energy Charge
2 Misty's Wrath
2 PlusPower

There's the main purpose. It does work. Look at Wizards for the official ruling, but if you use False Swipe on a Pokemon Weak to Metal, the half-damage is doubled to full damage (i.e.: 1 hit KO) EXCEPT for when the Defending Pokemon has an odd amount of HP, like 90. Then, False Swipe would do 40x2=80. Thats why i have the +Powers.

I know it's a pitiful deck, but there's no reason not to try it [Smile] . Once the Trap gets out, Scizor can be good.

Let me know how you like it! [Smile]

(P.S.: I'm not a stupid person, just one who likes to experiment occassionally...)

· Q: Porygon changes my opponent’s Pokémon’s Weakness to Metal, and I then use Scizor’s False Swipe to do half of the remaining HP damage. Do I then double that amount due to Weakness and possibly Knock Out my opponent’s Pokémon? A: Yes. (Jul 26, 2001, WotC Chat)

it's a really interesting deck, a new archetype if that's possible. i'm also really interested about the effect of False Swipe against a Metal-weak pokemon. i also like it coz the attacks only need 1 energy, making it quick & easy. i like it. i really like it. [Bounce]

that was my 2 cents. don't steal it or anything, it's just 2 cents, nothing more...

Wow, I didn't get bashed for using PORYGON in a deck! [ROFL] The only problem with this deck is you need to turn the Weaknesses into Metal...

Let's go check how my Base Charizard deck got bashed on the other post of mine [Wink] ...

well, Base Charizard is kinda old, and tons of other Big Fire pokemon have come out. can't expect to keep using it.

but anywayz, the reason u weren't bashed coz this deck actually can battle using Porygon. it's almost a guaranteed KO with Scizor. and with Pluspowers, wow! if u can keep Porygon alive to keep on converting, this would be such a cool deck! love it man! [Bounce]
