Looking over Skyridge.. I wanted to see how many CCC attacks there were when I found the new Starmie Water Type...
Go to the Light Pokémon (21) 4 Dratini (Des) 1 Light Dragonair (Des) 3 Light Dragonite (Des) 4 Eevee (Dis) 3 Espeon (1 Dis/ 2 Aq) 2 Staryu 2 Starmie (Skyridge Water type) 2 Tyrogue
Trainers (25) 3 Bill 2 Elm 3 Oak’s Research 2 Elm Training Method 3 Poke Nurse 1 Power Charge 3 Warp Point 3 Pokémon Breeders 3 Pokémon Traders 2 Eco Gym
Energy (14) 4 Boost 10 Psychic Energy
Light Nites biggest problem is dealing heavy Damage.... Starmie takes this to the Psychic/ Core Blast level.. Here is the Translation.. if it holds up:
Starmie 70 HP (W) Stage 1 Evolves from Staryu (W) Water Gun 10+ Does 10 damage plus 20 damage for each (W) energy attached to Starmie but not used to pay for this attack’s Energy cost. You can’t add more than 40 damage in this way. (CCC) Core Blast 30+ Does 30 damage plus 20 damage times the number of Energy cards attached to the Defending Pokémon. Weakness Resistance Retreat Cost (L) -(C) Kyoko Umemoto 025/088 Uncommon
Though it has low HP.. it is perfect with L. Nite. Attach Boost to him while Night is Active.. Then next turn Core Blast so you are going to average at least 50 per turn... if not more... yeah you could take 3 turn to power it up... but that is with 3 nrg cards whe nyou could power it in one tur and start going to town... Espy Aq makes sure you can last for a while and can get that Boost up and where it needs to be... ah the fun of Light Dragon with the Skyridge set will be awesome and interesting.. I expect quite a few Rogue decks at SBZ this Month... Good luck to all!! [ May 01, 2003, 01:51 PM: Message edited by: CmonIWanaPLaYa ]

Yeah - my spoiler is all marked up next to Core Blast!! With all the 4- and 5-energy attacks (especially in Skyridge and future sets), can you say "110 damage against an opponent with 4 energy"???

I would persenely take the ecogym out and put 1 power charge more in it because you need the boost energy and put 1 more Copycat to for new hand's . Would you plz tell me where I can find the translation of the Skyride cards ? I can't find them anywhere . [ May 02, 2003, 08:23 AM: Message edited by: Grote_Crobat ]

Unfortunately, the released card contains the word "special" in front of energy...!!!

I'm not surprised that 'special' is there. Core Blast as an attack has been on a few pokemon, always against special energies.
