Or maybe it's called NocKing or Nidhooter or ...
// Pokemon (23) 2 Cleffa 4 Hoothoot 3 Nidoking 3 Nidoran(M) 3 Nidorino 2 Ninetales EX 4 Noctowl 2 Vulpix L12 // Trainers (22) 3 Bill's Maintenance 3 Double Gust 1 Energy Stadium 4 Pokemon Trader 4 Professor Elm 3 Professor Oak's Research 2 Switch 2 Trash Exchange // Energy (15) 2 Rainbow Energy 13 Grass Energy
The deck has 3 parts that fit together rather well. The main hitter is the good old NidoKing. This guy gives a double poision without a flip, and using only 3 energy.
Adding to NidoKing's effectiveness is the 4/4 Noctowl line. These guys can disrupt the flow of trainers better than anything this side of slowking. Cutting off the switches can make the double poision bite real hard, especially for the high retreat guys.
The final hitter is the expedition ninetails (hat tip to LOTC for pointing out this gem). The decks that will be hard on this deck are the free retreat guys (mostly grass types) and Steelix. The expedition 9Tails will help this out a lot. It can confuse with a 75% success rate, and hits hard enough when it can take advantage of weakness. Imagine, confused and double poisioned with no trainers.
It has more pokemon than I usually like, but in some initial testing it can get control of the game really well. An intiial version didn't have the 9tails, but it really works well.
Thoughts appreciated.

OK. Drop those maintenance for Copycat?
Trash Exchange? From what set? Do I hear A GATR coming back?
good deck idea. Don't think you'll run into a water/psychic deck that would knock this one out.
Should be good, or at least a fun deck to try.
See you on the boards.

Good Catch. I should have looked closer at the deck. I had Time Capsules, not TE's. They seem to work well. But I may cut back to 1.
I've gone back and forth on the CopyCat or Bill's Maintenance. In this deck I've come to the conclusion that I like the Bill's Maintenance better. If Noctowls are working then the opponent will have a small number of cards. In this case getting 2 additional (3 new less 1 shuffled in) is usually better then getting a new hand of 3-4 cards. I may change it to 2 of each after eliminating 1 Time Capsule.
