Alright. I've been trying to work on some new deck to occupy my mind when I am online. Since I make decks and tweak other people's decks. If I don't have a project I get bored, and that's never good. Anyways, I couldn't come up with anything new that hadn't been done before I so looked to tweak decks I'd already made. So I obviously looked first to EXH Feraligatr. Anyways, so I thought about some Pokemon that could backup my Gatr. I already play Metal Energy as part of my Metal Gatr strategy. So I want some Metal Pokemon. I've tried Steelix, Genesis and AQ. I've tried AQ Scizor. I just never liked them and they really didn't fit the theme of Gatr. Discovery Forretress works, but I just don't like it either. So I stumbled across AQ Magneton. Here's my list:

The Prototype
Modified Format˛

Pokemon: 20
4 Totodile (Rage)(One of my most devestating tricks in the whole deck. Just wait until this beast evolves...)
3 Croconaw (Expedition)(Take Down with the Metal and the evolution into this beast...)
3 Feraligatr (Expedition)(The big daddy himself. This card is insane. Rending Jaws with Metal. Memory Berry for Rage. 120 HP. Major Tsunami. It's so powerful...)
2 Magnemite (Aquapolis)(Bah. It's better than playing an Electric one to get Rogued...)
2 Magneton (Aquapolis)(The Power messes with Scizor's Metal Energy, and the attack is just nice against the opponent's backup Pokemon)
2 Cleffa (Dunno...just like the fact he's knitting...=/)
2 Tyrogue (Look up "Heads, then heads again and I win in the dictionary.")
1 Magby (My "marking" Pokemon and kills Powers)
1 Elekid (Flip while powering up to damage early)

Energy: 16
10 Water (Main Energy Type)
4 Metal (Use with Gatr or Magneton)
2 Recycle (Use with retreating)

Trainers: 24
4 Professor Elm (Drawing)
4 Copycat (Drawing)
4 Gold Berry (Healing)
4 Double Gust (Bench Manipulation)
3 Pokemon Trader (Pokemon Advantage)
2 Pokemon Fan Club (Pokemon Advantage)
2 Memory Berry (Rage as Gatr when heavily damaged)
1 Town Volunteers (Get back lost Energy/Pokes)

Strategy: It's my basic Gatr beatdown deck. However, the added twist of Magneton does three things. Adds backup to Gatr. Potentially messes up Scizor's Energy early. Deals damage across the board to not only the opponent's Main attacker and benched threats getting powered up of the same type. So what's the difference between Magneton and AQ Steelix, you may be thinking? Well Steelix doesn't help vs Scizor. Magneton also deals 30 damage which fits into Gatr's design. Magneton can also deal moderate damage without fail and without Metal Energy, letting me use them on Gatr.

Again, the strategy stays the same with Gatr. Evolve and get going as early as I can to beat them into the ground. Magneton just adds a layer of complexity and support. I will prolly cut it and stick with the simpler, easier to manager Solo EX Gatr. Aaaaaaaanyways, there you go...any thoughts?

Magneton is good but IMO not the best. You need a pokemon that can do 10 damage to them using a power or something. Ever thought about Dark Ampharos. It might be a bad idea, but to do 70 with feraligatr, the defending pokemon must have a damage counter on it. Well Dark Ampharos puts a damage counter on them each time they attach an energy. But maybe that isn't good for the two types of energy.

You could try the AQ Nidoking but again, 2 energy types.

You need a good wall that can help do damage to the defending pokemon and also protect your feralgatr. Hmmmmm how about Skyridge Politoad? it does have 110 HP, that one big thing to ko. And it is easily powered up by its first attack. If you need a translation here it is:

code:
 Politoed 110 HP (W)
Stage 2 Evolves from Poliwhirl
(C) Rapid Growth
Attach any number of basic Energy
cards to Politoed from your hand.
(WCC) Frog Leap 30+
Flip a coin. If heads, this
attack does 30 damage plus 20 more
damage.
(WWCCC) Energy Splash 70
If you have any Benched Pokémon
and, take 2 (W) Energy cards
attached to Politoed (or 1 if is
has only 1) and attach them to
your Benched Pokémon in any way
you like. _
Weakness Resistance Retreat Cost
(L) -(CC)
Atsuko Nishida 030/088 Rare

The deck looks good, just I don't like the magneton that much.

Not to ruin your deck, i suggest going with cards that are from expedition and Aquapolis. i heard rumors that Neo Genesis through Legendary Collection might be banned from modified. No, i am not trying to destroy your deck in any way. I'm just telling you this just incase it does happen
