I'm sorry to put the same deck, but it's not really. I changed it around since two people told me you can only have 4 of 1 kind [Embarrassed] Silly me.

Pokemon

4 Cyndaquil
3 Quilava
1 Typhlosion
2 Magby
2 Magmar
1 Entei

4 Horsea
3 Seadra
1 Kingdra
4 Totodile
3 Craconaw
3 Mantine

Trainers

2 Super rods

Energy

9 Fire energy
16 Water energy

Could you please tell me how far you think I might get in a tournament. Well? What do you think? [Big Grin]

Your weakness is drawing power. You want Elm, Cleffa, and trader. You probably want to go at least 4-3-3 on the Kingdra line. I asume Entei is Howl, and you might want one more. Add some Centers, FHE, Recycle Energy, and double gust/balloon berry, and it might work.

This looks like a Modified deck (as of 1 Sept) to me, so I'll try and help with that in mind.

I'm no expert myself, but I've done not bad in the tournaments I've played in, although I admit that there have been few of those.
Few seem willing to post for you (no doubt because of the recent board problems) so here goes...

The problem with this deck is that its too unfocused - you have made good decisions when it comes to which Pokémon to use, but you have used too many - Kingdra is a great deck; Entei with some big attick fire Pokémon (like Magcargo) is also good, as is Typhlosion. They don't, however, work that well all together like this. I'd cut the Croconaw line and the Mantine altogether, and pick either Kingdra, Entei or Typhlosion. Until you make that choice, I can't really advise you on specifics, but I will try and add some general advice - for example, Modified decks need Cleffa (NG), probably 2 or 3 or them.

You have made the classic mistake. Don't worry, we've all been there, and its easily fixed! You need more trainers. Lots more...
4 Prof. Elm are essential in Modified, and Bills can be handy (card drawing = great). Pokémon Trader is good in the right deck, as is Scoop Up (especially in Entei decks). Focus Band is a real life saver (literally), so you should probably throw in some of those. I could go on, but I'll wait for a more specific deck design.

Energy - well this is OK, except of course your providing energy for more Pokémon than most people would play. Bear in mind that if you plan to Howl with Entei, you need to play a more energy than normal. I'd say about 15-ish for most deck, 20-ish for Entei, but these are just round figures, and the right number is, of course, deck dependant.

I think you get the idea. I'd like to see what you come up with in the future, bearing these guidelines in mind. I'd also suggest that, in future, you post the set or level beside Pokémon, as there are several Entei, 2 Kingdras etc.

Good luck!
