This is a deck i made for mmf2 in octobor 2002 when i some how stop playing . and i want to go to ipgeek21 tournament tomorrow and i wonder if this deck is still useable and i need fixes for it.
Pokemon 14 4x Growlithe 4x Arcanine 3x Entei 3x Cleffa
Trainer 27 3x Mary 3x Gold Berry 4x Prof Elm 2x Focus Band 4x double gust 4x bill 2x healing field 2x time capsule 3x pokemon trader
Energy 19 16x fire 3x metal
60 card
Stragety: Usally how this would go is i would draw and most of the time i would get entei and a growlithe than i would play entei and try to power up my growlithe to max and next turn elove it to a arcnine and attck. This is like a rush deck to attck early. This deck was built to go to world but i my parent didnt have time so i couldnt go even tho wizard invited me. I won 3/3 of the tournament i played with this deck.

Looks pretty solid, but I'd replace the Time Capsules with Town Volunteers from Aquapolis. You get the same effect, but the opponent doesn't. The only drawback is that you can only play one per turn.

Your draw power focuses on Professor Elm, Mary, and Bill. Not the best combo currently available. You should look at replacing Mary and Bill with Copycat and Professor Oak's Research.
I agree with the comment about Town Volunteers. Good addition.
A couple of Scoop Ups would be good with this also. Let's you reuse Entei.
My personal opinion is that with an Entei-Something deck, you need LOTS of fire energy to make sure you have good draws each time you Howl. You've only got 16 Fire energy. I would recommend upping that by at least 4.
Here are my changes...
-2 Time Capsule +2 Town Volunteer
-3 Mary -4 Bill +3 Professor Oak's Research +2 Copycat +2 Scoop Up
-3 Metal -1 Double Gust +4 Fire
If you want to work the Metal Energy back in, I would suggest removing a Professor Elm and 2 Healing Fields.

The whole deal behind draw power is getting cards NOW! While I don't have a problem getting rid of the Marys for PO research or copycats, don't lose the Bills.
That is, if you want to play more than one draw card per turn. Five supporters and zero non-supporters for draw just isn't palatable for me.
Scoop up isn't bad, but how many times are you really going to reuse Entei.
I'd go with -3 Mary + 3 Prof Oak's Research ( or maybe 2 with a copycat)
You're absolutely right about the fire energy.
