I'd go with gatr still . not much cards can stop gatr . IMO you'd have a better chance winning . The only problem I see with your gatr deck is the healing fields . I'd do this :

- 2 HF's
+ 1 TRTG
+ 1 Narrow Gym

Top 8 at the chicago championship =\
1st at kokomo SBZ

IM me at ZackH111 for a game of Apprentice .

Skotite - If its any indication the winner of last year's Qualifier at Milford Devon Mancini, used Big Fire and won a trip to the San Diego STS. He is a great player though. 2nd place was taken by Monkey and he used a Slowking/R. Zappy variant. I dont know about Monkey but Devon is definately going Gatr this year as it will probably be the last time that Gatr will be so broken in this format. With the release of the Legends Collection Gatr will be slowed down and hopefully see less play. Go with your Gatr deck. It looks good.

First, which age group are we talking about?

If 11 -14, there will be both Gatr and anti-gatr decks being played, both of these decks will make it into the top eight, with about 3 gatrs and the rest anti-gatrs (be it Crobat or Grimmer/Kindgra). The idea is to play something that can metagame against both of these two dominant decks and bring you to the top.

Hmmmm, psychic decks or combinations - Promo Eevee with Epseon hurts both decks, include Chaos Gym, possible Dark Tyranitar or Slowking/Promo Mewtwo (hurts both decks). Fire is a very good choice, however, I think I would perfer using the big turbo Pup with Holo Enties, Time Capsules, Blaines (4), similar to the Magcargo/Entie (which is better since you get to choose how many energies to discard). Watch out for Pichu with these decks.

You also might need a few Full heal energies if there are a lot of Crobats flying around. Also, the new Promo Scyther really hurts Gatr decks so those will be showing up in decks.

For the 10 and under: If you are a good gatr player, and I do mean good, you have a very good chance making into the top 8 and top 4. After taht, it is anybodies game.

Whatever you do, don't play a deck that you are not comfortable with or haven't play with or against a lot. I think Fire or Psychic decks might be an excellent choice depending on the metagame in Boston. Good luck and let us know how you do.

Thanks Guys!! I think I might just bring both decks, scout out the competition, and then turn in my decklist.

Dark Ho-oh: I hope that that happens. I think i'll take out one entei for an erika's bellsprout

Master of Scizor: I've heard about big fire beating gatrs a lot

Johnny Blaze: I actually played against Devon with his Big Fire deck for the top two, but I lost mostly because I had a slowking steelix deck [Frown] . He is a very good player.

Pokidad: I am in the 11-14 category (i'm 14). Thanks, but I would rather stick with these two types of decks.

Thanks Guys!!!!!! [Bounce]
