Electric Steel Octopus!
Pokemon (20) 3 Onix (2 SI since I only have 2 and 1 LC) 3 Steelix (2 Gen 1 Aqua) 3 Remoraid (Rev) 3 Octillery (Aqua) 3 Electabuzz (Best promo) 2 Cleffa (Gen) 2 Pichu (Gen) 1 Tyrogue (Dis)
Trainers (22) 4 Prof. Elm (Gen) 3 Copycat (Exp) 1 Oak's Research (Exp) 4 Double Gust (Gen) 4 Gold Berry (Gen) 2 Pokemon Trader (LC) 2 Switch (Exp) 1 Energy Stadium (Des) 1 Pokemon Fan Club (Aqua)
Energy (18) 4 Metal 5 Water 4 Electric 3 Rainbow 2 Recycle
I haven't really playtested this deck yet. I wanted to create something that could combat most of the popular SBZ decks. Steelix beats a lot and sometimes last the entire battle itself! Water is still the most played type through the years so Electabuzz could be huge. 60-80 for 2 energies. Octillery beats that evil Magcargo that was a dominating force at my SBZ. Smokescreen plus Suction cups should leave a lot of trainers major headaches. Also unlike Blastoise, Kingdra, and Gatr Octillery is a stage 1 card. The trainers I repeatedly change. I've considered adding Focus Bands, Forest Guardians, more Switches and a lot of other things. The energies could be changed around to. Besides having 4 Metal none of the other numbers were always that way. Pidgeotto and I want your help. What should we change about this deck? Do you think this deck will win? or is three types just insaign for this format? Tell us. Please.

Looking at your deck, I think perhaps the only thing I'd change is to remove the 4 Double Gust for two more Switch and two more Pokemon Trader. IMHO you really want to play either to your opponents weakness or your Resistance, and Switch/Pokemon Trader allow YOU to choose the terms of combat, whereas Double Gust allows your opponent to possibly choose one of your Pokemon that lacks both the ability to attack and the ability to easily retreat due to lack of energy. Remember, your main hitters require a fairly heavy energy discard to retreat. I would also consider dropping an Elm, a Gold Berry and Pokemon Fan Club for three Energy Search -- it's pretty annoying to have an Electric Weak Pokemon as your opponents active and not be able to put your Electabuzz out to KO it because a Lightning Energy didn't show up in your hand (happens to me FAR too often). Good Luck -- I like it!
