Ok, I'll skip the intro and go into the deck:

4 Onix (LC)
3 Steelix
3 Zapdos (LC)
3 Electabuzz (promo, base, ya know, the good one)
3 Cleffa (Gen)

4 Elm
4 Copycat
4 Bill
4 Energy Charge
4 Gold Berry
2 Switch
2 Double Gust
2 Energy Stadium
1 Time Capsule

13 Lightning Energy
4 Metal

Strategy is simple. If you need Zapdos, give him 3 lightning and a metal and use Thunder. If Steelix would be the better choice, then just throw a couple of metal on him and Tail Crush away. Energy Charge gets back those precious Metal Energies that will get thrown out. Electabuzz is there just because he's a great quick hitter. Very useful. This is still completely untested, but it looks like an interesting deck idea. Let me know what you guys think. [Smile]

I really like the idea of pairing Steelix with some good basics.

The only thing I'd say is that with some many different status effects about, I'd think about using 4 switches, maybe losing the DG's. Also the 4 Eergy Charges seems excessive. Maybe 2 and change some of the lightening energy to Rainbow.

But this is a good deck.

I disagree, you should leave the Legendary Electabuzz in there, that way you can quickly do 40 damage with 2 energy! Also, attach a Metal Energy to Electabuzz for his 2nd cost and he won't do damage to himself should you flip tails.
ALSO Add Rainbow Energy, they are legal since they became promos,

If you don't mind the deck not being Modified format, go with the Discovery Onix (with Rage) and 4 Recall (Gym Heroes) Once Steelix has lotsa damage on him, use Recall on Onix's Rage and you can do 110 damage at max!
