Hey ilc! Hows it going? Being a big fan of Steelix myself (Read my Signature thing below ) I'll see what I can do! The main thing I see is that you use only one Kadabra, I know that Breeder is the way to go but I would even things out a little, try 2 Kadabra and 2 Breeder if ya like! I also think that Gold Berry would work well in a deck of this nature (especially if there is no place left to the move damage) If you also liked you could try Pokemon Center and Energy Flow combo to heal you guys! Hope these ideas helped. If you would like to see my latest Steelix Creation it is probably on page 2 by now (Crush Down) See ya!
-------------------- The Evolution of Steelix: My many Steelix deck versions: Electro-Crush (Rockets Zapdos) Steel-Slash (Rocket's Scyther) Steelix's Memory (Neo 3 Aerodactyl) Whirpool Crush (Umbreon, Dark Vaporeon) Crush Down (Arcanine) Kabulix (Kabutops) Steeleon (Espeon, holo Discovery)
And maybe more to come!
New Project: Swap n' Memory Raging (Aerodactyl [Revelation], Alakazam [Base/LC])
Espeon is 1!

Quick Fix...I'd post details as to why, but it's 2:30 a.m. here, and I'm about to pass out on the keyboard...so it might be a lil sketchy.
-3 Breeder +3 Kadabra - Easier to pull off, especially cuz you use more limited drawing.
-1 Alakazam - 4 arent' needed, you're not swarming them. +1 Tentacool (LC)- Alakool, W00T!
- All The Onix + 3 SI Onix - Just Better + 1 LillyPad Mew - Just awesome...especially with akakazam/tentacool.
-2 Psychic Energy - You've got Energy Stadium
+1 Trader - You play more pokemon...trader = comp search. +1 Time Capsule - You'll thank me later.
And you're playing psychic and steel, so if you're desperate for metal energy retrieval, you can tecH an LC Gastly as well...but I don't think it's needed.
Cool deck...very good Idea...good luck with it.

um... Metal energies on a Steelix can't absorb damage from Damage Swap, as Damage Swap involves MOVING counters and PLACING them onto another Poké.
Nice try though...

First off, I'm shocked and dismayed that 3(yes, 3!) professors, including rocket's sandshrew, didn't catch the whole "damage swap+metal energy doesn't work" thing Ah well, I guess it's an honest mistake.
I gotta go with rocket's sandshrew on a lot of points here. why use breeder at all except to gain a little speed in the event you have both an abra and an alakazam. Personally I'd lose the breeder alltogether because kadabra's super psy can actually be a very effective attack if you're in a bad situation. For the tentacools, they are a good idea. one potion per turn per tentacool. they'd be unbeatable if you weren't limited to one use per turn. there's some other stuff I'd like to talk about but you've got plenty of experts working on it so I'll let them take over as I'm getting kinda hungry.

Lol...holestly, I didn't read his "strategy" like I said...I posted when it was late, and...I figured the deck explained itself...
Even though damage swapped counters are NOT effected by metal energies, alakazam/steeix is an awesome Idea, because it's really hard for any non-fire decks to OHKO a steelix...

hehe. Yeah I guess that gets you off the hook Oh and uh... did I mention that pokecenter is a good idea?
[EDIT in response to the post following this one: ok, ok. I don't feel so bad now but you STILL shoulda said something (if you're gonna tinker with someone's deck you should read what they're actual strategy is first)] [ July 24, 2002, 06:40 AM: Message edited by: Drakeo ]

Dreako I did not read the "Stratedgy" either. It should be obvious in my deck list which includes pokecenter.
