of course NOT BUT just don't play someone using a modified deck...

BUT there are some NICE pokemon Genesis cards:

The babies (infamous & overused): cleffa, pichu, magby, iggly, tyrogue.
& other pokemon (but none so GAME breaking as sneasal)

The trainers: GYMS, ELM, double gust (most aren't great)

Energy: Steel, dark, recycle: how can you LIVE without some of these?

*note: Type yes or no & this becomes a poll & this gets locked... elaborate please...

I'mk not sure I understand the question. Do you mean using the old archetypes in Unlimited? Probably not. Do you mean your old Modified Decks in Neon Modified (updated slightly to be legal)? They stand a good chance of working. Reiving an old Unlimited archetype and updating it for Modified or Neon Modified? It may work. I really need to know what environment you are talking about.

Oh, and a big guy named "Monev" is looking for you... [Wink]

I mean using the orginals, the fossil, and the jungle... Everything until Rocket, Gyms and those other new ones lol... I suppose you could call me an older Pokemon Master =P Started when I was young, so my deck is sort of old... BUT very effective...
A cross mostly of psychic/Water
Stuff like Blastoise, Gyrados, Haunter, Hypnos, Kangaskan, Lapras, Charizard(Gotta love is energy burn thing), Clefable, and some other guys... Nothing new up to Fossil... Do I still stand a chance compared to this all new powerful added cards?

Why not post your deck. Then people will be able to comment on it.

Ayah... does this mean you have only one of each card in there, besides the energy cards?

If you're worried about not being up to par against new styles of decks, then it would be best to try to adapt to your competition and learn more about what you're up against. Sure, you can continue to use an old-school deck if you wish, but I like to try out new cards to see how my decks can benefit from their use.

A psychic/water deck, eh? Lessee... try using only four evolutionary lines at a time, with 4 of each basic, 2 or 3 of each 1st Stage, and 1 or 2 of each 2nd Stage.

For example:

4 Seel
3 Dewgong

4 Ditto

4 Squirtle
2 Wartortle
1 Blastoise

4 Gastly
3 Haunter

I have to quit typing now, as there is a large t-storm blasting outside my house and I need to unplug everything. I'll continue on tomorrow, if I have time before I have to leave with my friends.

Archetypes? What, is originality becoming obsolete?
