I've seen two variants of this deck work. Snichu and King/Sneasel. I'm going to post my version of each (but King/Sneasel would typically work better.)
Typically Zappy/Sneasel usually doesn't work. There are too many conflicting cards. Zappy loves to use SER -- Sneasel fears it being used on him. Sneasel needs Ecogym -- Zappy wants to get rid of Ecogym before Plasma/SER combo.
Also, the big HP line is crossed in this deck. 70 and up use Gold Berry, 60 and below use Focus Band. Zappy REALLY needs Gold Berry, heck, it's half his strategy. Usually people can KO the Sneasel in one hit (Fable, Wiggly, etc.)
If I tried fixing this deck it really wouldn't look like your deck afterwards. I don't want to do that.
Snichu (posted in reverse order since I took it straight out of Apprentice):
3 Energy Charge 2 Nightly Garbage Run 2 Double Gust 3 PlusPower 3 Focus Band 2 Lass 3 Ecogym 3 Super Energy Removal 3 Item Finder 3 Computer Search 4 Professor Oak 3 Double Colorless Energy 3 Recycle Energy 4 Rainbow Energy 4 Darkness Energy 3 Erika's Jigglypuff 2 Scyther 1 Magby 1 Pichu 1 Murkrow 4 Sneasel 3 Cleffa
Magby is the better temporary fix against Slowking -- but Pichu is also necessary at times. Either will serve the purpose. I know, I know...only two Lass. Ya may want to take out an Energy Charge for it.
King/Sneasel: //NAME: Untitled Deck 1 Nightly Garbage Run 2 Switch 2 Focus Band 2 Energy Charge 3 Super Energy Removal 3 No Removal Gym 4 Lass 2 Gust of Wind 4 Item Finder 4 Computer Search 3 Professor Oak 3 Recycle Energy 4 Rainbow Energy 4 Darkness Energy 2 Pichu 1 Murkrow 4 Sneasel 4 Slowking 4 Slowpoke L20 4 Cleffa
One of the best concepts in Unlimited today. 4 Cleffa, 4 Lass. 4/4 King line. Its main attacker so cost-effective it can still fit. You may want to use either No Removal Gym OR Ecogym here.
No Removal Gym would still let your opponent send your energies to discard. HOWEVER -- they have to discard 2 cards BEFORE you flip for your Slowkings. If you get heads, they still lose the two cards. No Removal Gym is gutsier but doesn't let your opponent attempt the same Removal over and over.
Ecogym is the safer of the two gyms. You get your energy back -- but they can just try the SER next turn. In order to stop them from trying it, you'd have to try to Lass and force them to shuffle their deck, so the SER would not be on top.
Hopefully these decks will serve you as well as they have me -- Good luck at trying to get those two booster boxes! (And make sure to hold onto those Copycats and Oak's Researches in a DEATH GRIP should you obtain them.)
-------------------- What, like the pro-archetype attitude is supposed to be restricted to THIS company, and THIS TCG? All card games run on archetypes. Magic is 90% archetypes. YGO is 90% archetypes. Pokemon was, for the most part, all archetypes before and during MF2. Pokemon will be archetype-based during MF3. Pokemon will be archetype based when it is under Nintendo.
Viva la unoriginality!
