I needed a deck that hits hard, and can take out a Cargo in one hit. Problem is, if it isn't water and fast, most decks don't have much chance if the Howls are good and the opponent is a bit good with the draw. Grass is weak in my metagame right now due to a sudden resurgence of Carga variants. Electric is coming back due to a number of big electric-weak water decks. Slowking is still everywhere, and promo Mew is tecHed in a lot of decks. Here's something that looked good, and is a bit different than the other Piloswine decks I have built before. You see, you can High Speed Charge two turns in a row if you bench the Swine between turns. Sometimes it's hard to do this however. You can Nap and heal, but that left you vulnerable for another incoming salvo. You could slap on a Gold Berry and hit 'em with a rainbow to heal, but again, that's not always feasible. You could run metal like I have done in the past, but that depletes the 80-kill-a-Cargo attack. This Piloswine variant combines several ways of benching the Big Pig and several methods to self-heal-between Charges. On to the decklist:

Pigs have great memory (mf)
4 Lv.10 Swinub (second attack-Take Down is important.1F1C 30 Damage and Swinub does 10 to itself)
3 Lv.41 Piloswine (grass weak but electric resis)
3 Cleffa
2 Promo Igglybuff (put the Slugma or Cargo to sleep and make'em flip succesfully twice to attack...may help early game as Swine gets the 4 energy needed)
2 L.27 Aerodactyl (Prehistoric Memory is key here...High Speed Charge with a Gold Berry attached...hit em for 80 and 30 self. If unable to retreat to bench, Prehistoric Memory the Swinub's attack...hit'em for another 30 and 10 self to trigger the Gold Berry)
1 S.I. Jigglypuff (Slowking)
1 Unown A (sacrificial Promo Mew killer)
16 Pokemon

4 Elm
4 Double Gust
4 Switch
4 Gold Berry
3 Trader
3 Mysterious Fossil
2 Focus Band
2 Warp Point
1 Copy Cat( believe it or not, I had a slot open and shoved this in)
1 Healing Field
1 Time Capsule
29 Trainers

11 Fighting energy
4 Rainbow energy
15 Energy

for those unaware fo the Unown TecH, just leave a spot on the bench open while they are contolling with the Promo Mew. Lay the Unown down, attach a Rainbow and KO the Mew in one shot. Well worth the sacrifice. The rest of the list is simple. Tons of cards to get the Swine to the bench. Should be enough healing with the 4 Gold Berries and Nap and Healing Fields.
PLEASE offer advice and make me realize how WORTH IT it is to continue posting deck ideas here.

Of course it's worth it to post decks.

Now instead of Unown A, why not put in Pichu? Aerodactly can survive a few Buzzaps but Mew is toast. They could have more than 1 Mew and your Unown A could be toast. Or Tyrogue. Handles Mew one at a time.

Then you could drop the 4 Rainbow Energies. Since Aerodactyl is key, +1 Mysterious Fossil.

For the last 3 slots, i'd put in some Fire to counteract your Grass Weakness. I don't know what to put in off the top of my head except for Genesis Magmar (CC for 20). So 2 of them.
THen shove in another Copycat.

BJJ763:
I see your point on not wanting to sacrifice a prize to kill a Mew, but Zapping it twice in a row w/out being KO'd yourself is still NOT a guarantee. The Unown IS a guaranteed dead Mew in one shot. Dropping the Rainbows would hamper my ability to use the Charge/Attach Gold Berry/Attach Rainbow-self healing move as well. If I removed the Unown in favor of a Pichu (not really a terrible idea) I would probably drop the two Warp Points in favor of either additional Focus Bands or, as you suggested, some splashable Fire such as Gen. Magmar. I'll playtest both ways for now. Thanks for the feedback.

-1 Unown A
-2 Warp Point
+1 Tyrouge
+1 Magby
+1 Copycat

You gain a better utility I think out of a 'rouge and Magby versus the Unown A.

It's always worth it to post decks and such. Some just don't want to see the possibility of decks outside of the tired few that are good, but overplayed.

Mercad:
As you are a respected member of the 'Gym I will try and put it simply. If I wanted Slowking in the deck he would be there. I have (like a lot of players) combined Slowking with nearly every attacker possible in the game at one time or another. I am at the point now where I grew tired of using it. Tired also of facing it, but smart enough to include SOME type of anti-Slowking in nearly every deck I build. So please, in keeping with the beatdown-with-Swine idea, try and offer ideas and such more in line with the decklist I posted. As I said in the original post, I didn't want to run metal on Swine as hitting for 80 was essential to the deck's success.
Early playtesting has revealed that the deck sets up pretty fast, even with the 4 energy requirment of Swine. the Iggly-sleep thing does help stall the opponent while building the pig up. Using the Aero's power HAS worked, and worked well. This does reduce the Swine's NEED to get back to the bench after Charging, so maybe the warps can be dropped. here's what I noticed as possible changes:
-I faced fighting-resistant Pokes that reduced High Speed Charge to 50 damage and kept them from the OHKO. I thought of Magnifier, but perhaps Strength Charms or TecHed Dark Energy would do the job better, while allowing possible attacks for 90 to anyone regardless of resistance.
-Perhaps using Elekids rather than promo Iggly would allow faster setup to Swine. Playful Punching while attaching energy to Swine sounds faster.
-Although I KNOW the Unown A works well against the Mew, in TWO game opportunities where I COULD have easily brought it in and KOd the MEw, I didn't, as I could not afford the sacrificial prize loss. Both games I loss but were long matches and went down to one prize each. this was against a Scyther/Electabuzz/Mantine deck run by a very good player.

So,
-2 Warp Point
-2 Promo Iggly
-1 Unown
-1 Rainbow
+3 Strength Charm (now I can attach a Strength Charm to the Swinub and OHKO the Promo Mew)
+2 Elekid
+1 Dark Energy

Keep the comments coming

I know that you are using Fighting, but have you considered trying 2 Destiny Swinub and changing your energy to a 8 F, 3 W, 4 R mix? Since Pilo uses 2F, 2C, if you were to attach a rainbow, you could use Generate Cold for 20 and the chance at Paralysis. Just a thought. The enregy still gives you 12 Fightin and 7 Water respectively.
I think this is a cool deck and a great use of complimentary cards.

Thanks for the compliment on the deck. I think I'll stay with the fighting Swinub for several reasons. First, using Prehistoric Memory with it's attack will trigger the Gold Berry. Secondly, since I have removed the Unown A from the decklist, my only way of KOing the Promo Mew now is the Swinub's Takedown with a Strength Charm.

Anyone else with ideas?

I understand what you are saying. I was just going along with the fact that you were adding in Elekid. This can take careof your Mew Problems for you. Still a grteat Concept. I am jealous!!

Ahhhh....with the demise of Slowqueen in the MF format I can now revise the decklist a tad.
-1 S.I. Jigglypuffage
+1 Focus Bandage

The deck rocks pretty well in playtesting. Being able to do Take Down in between High Speed Charges works very well. When you run out of Gold Berries you can Nap. When facing a Cargo or big Grass, use a Focal Bandage.

This deck reminded me that I wanted to try Piloswine a long while back - but I never got around to it. Sooooo I built it with a few mods - not too bad! Played well.
Anyway I used:
+1 elekid
-1 Unknown,
-4 rainbow +6 electric
-1 Time capsule (only cause I couldn't find one!)
-2 Double Gust
-2 Focus (again I had no spares)
+1 Potion
+1 Moo Moo Milk
-1 Switch
+2 Electabuzz

I wish I had the Focus bands and the Time Capsule - they would have helped, but right now I have about 15 decks and I am flat outta NG Cleffa, Focus Bands and TC. I had to use the promo Cleffa (which ain't too bad really)
Anyway I managed to get Buzz out and use him to great effect until I got the pig powered up. then there was not a lot to stop him. Using the promo Cleffa was a good thing actually because then I could horde my switches instead of shuffling them back in the deck. So when the time came I used them to ping-pong the swine out of the lne of fire after he charged.
My hardest time was getting the dactyl out - never did. Maybe I should try Fossil Egg.... Hmmmm
Anyway - thanks for the reminder and a fun day at League with a fun new deck!

Least ScythKing was playing with some of the right healing card. Come on, Gold Berry? You attach it, the Pokémon it's attached to is Knocked Out, and then it's wasted. At least Moo-Moo Milk can't be wasted unless you're an unlucky coin flipper.

Nope - sorry - gold berry is the best for this fat ol pig. The Potions and moo-moo is for touching up the Buzz or a baby.
Very very few Pokemon can take out something with 80 HP in one whack - but many can deal 40-60. So the GBerry is the best thing to take that off. The Focus band is if you find yourself up against something like a Charizard that whack you for 120. Best you can do is pray and that's about what a focus band is - a 50% chance of success prayer.

The deck went 4-1 in Swiss in today's tournament, losing only to Tom Dolezal's Steelix/Mantine deck. In top 8 I played an Ex.Vileplume deck that I lost to as well, but I had a horrid setup and was coming on strong when I died. The Strength Charms were in hand and I was ready to High Speed Charge for the 90 needed. Alas, too many prizes had already been lost due to the Plume's poison making my Bands irrelevent. Ahh well, not a bad start for the deck. I think I'll keep this one and sort it out better.
Scythe: Will try a teched Electabuzz and a few L Energy. That would have helped greatly against the Mantine.

Here's the updated decklist. I have thrown in a couple Full Heal energy to help deal with the Special Conditions that I am sure to see when facing any decent Grass Deck. The 4 Switches don't seem to be enough to both get Swine to the bench repeatedly AND take care of Special Conditions.

Pigs have great memory (mf)
4 Lv.10 Swinub (second attack-Take Down is important.1F1C 30 Damage and Swinub does 10 to itself)
3 Lv.41 Piloswine (grass weak but electric resis)
2 Cleffa (w/Slowking out 2 should be plenty)
2 Elekid (Playful Punch while building a Swine)
2 L.27 Aerodactyl (Prehistoric Memory is key here...High Speed Charge with a Gold Berry attached...hit em for 80 and 30 self. If unable to retreat to bench, Prehistoric Memory the Swinub's attack...hit'em for another 30 and 10 self to trigger the Gold Berry)
1 Base/Winner Electabuzzer (take THAT Mantine and Seadra)
14 Pokemon

3 Elm
4 Double Gust
4 Switch
4 Gold Berry
3 Trader
3 Mysterious Fossil
3 Focus Band
2 CopyCat
2 Strength Charms
1 Healing Field
1 Time Capsule
30 Trainers

8 Fighting energy
3 Rainbow energy
3 Electric Energy
2 Full Heal Energy
15 Energy

While Intense Fire still can clean this deck's clock like most others, a decent flip on a Focus Band or a bad Howl or two gives this deck the upper hand. I have considered combining the Swine with Fire...and thoughts there?

Hey Naut!

I only see one thing wrong.
3 Lighting ENERGY for ONE BUZZ [Eek!]

-3 Lighting
+3 Rainbow

The rainbow might also help with your gold berry combo. Also every think about TecHing a Light Piloswine to counter Entei/Magcargo

Hey Answer!
Check out the decklist again. There's already 3 rainbow, and I have discussed at length the triggering effect on High Speed Charge using them.
With two of Swine's 4 energy being colorless I figured 3 Electric wouldn't hurt and would help if Buzz was needed.
The Light Swine might be worth looking into tho.... [Wink]

naut, great deck!

I respectfully disagree. Keep the Unknown A in! Great for the situation of Mew! Or else use Tyrogue with a strength charm around his neck. That poke is great against Buzz, Mew and many other pains.

One problem, you seem to be focusing far too hard on Entei-Cargo. One deck that could give this trouble appears to be bayleaf or meganium from e.

Add a magnifier, so Piloswine can take these water resistant pokes out in one hit. otherwise, the grass monsters could walk through you!

Great deck! I've had fun with it.

The Swine I am using is the fighting one, and the water resistance has no effect on him (though he is still grass weak) I have tried to include enough cards to get rid of Special Conditions.

Professor Elm:

This deck is for the modified format and some of the cards you included are not allowed. Even if the deck were Unlimited format, I wouldn't run three healing fields(way excessive)and the Breeder Fields is clearly inferior to Pokemon Trader in a deck using a Stage 1 evolution. Also, with Slowking a memory in modified, the Igglys are gone, as is the need for 3 Cleffa.

Am thinking of the obvious right now, comboing Piloswine with Steelix to cover my grass weakness. Am working on a decklist, and will post it when content.
