Here's what I'd do:
I'd have two each of Neo Discovery and Skyridge Beedrill. The former can inflict a very heavy poison, and the latter has an interesting combo.
Do the same with Kakuna. The Skyridge one is an enhanced edition of the one from Legendary Collection, except this one has automatic damage protection and axes the damage for guaranteed Poison. The Neo Discovery one can discourage your opponent from even attacking. Because if they do cause damage, they're Poisoned and its buddies on the Bench get damaged.
Go straight Skyridge on the Weedle.
I'd also consider using Elekid instead of the Cleffa for use in doing damage while Skyridge Kakuna is in play, but you don't have to use it. It's your call.

I'll try my hand. To start, although 19 Energy is fairly appropriate, I think it's a little high. So, drop about 4 Grass Energy. I also think you can afford to drop one each of Cleffa (Most decks only ever seem to need one) and Tyrogue (2 should be plenty), and 2 of your Undersea Ruins. But what to put in instead? Here is the fun part. You could consider the Fighting-type Shuckle -- it makes a fairly good early-game defender, and can do a double status condition (Poison and Paralysis, I think) for 2 Grass Energy and a coin flip. However, I would lean toward putting Trainers in those 8 spaces. I am concerned that your only cards for card drawing are Elm and Cleffa, so I would recommend adding in about 1-2 of your favorite out of Copycat, Professor Oak's Research, or Desert Shaman. I am also concerned that you have no cards for healing, so I recommend adding in some Gold Berries or Pokemon Centers/Nurses. You might even consider Hyper Potion, although I'm not sure about that one. You might also want to consider 2-3 Focus Bands. If you want to and still have room, you could also try to fit in either the appropriate Miracle Sphere from Skyridge (don't remember which one that is), and change 4 Grass Energy for 2 each of the other Basic Energies referred to in its text, or put in the Grass Cube 01 from Aquapolis, which can give you a guaranteed Sleep and Poison for one Grass Energy. This deck looks like it has a lot of potential!
-------------------- Every time I think I can't say anything stupider, I prove myself wrong. Maybe I should just stop thinking.

well my little brother plays a version similar to this and the one played at the MI sbz. heres my fixes.
3 Beedrill (SR) 1 beedrill (Dis) 4 Kakuna (SR) 4 Weedle (SR) 50 hp 2 Cleffa (NG) 1 Tyrogue (Neo) 1 suicune(Rev) 1 elekid(neo) 3 Hyper Devolution Spray 1 Town Volunteers 3 copycat 1 Under Sea Ruins 2 focus band 2 gold berry 4 pokemon trader 3 Lure Ball 4 Professor Elm
2 Retro Energy 4 recylce 2 bounce 9 grass energy
now i fixed it this way because getting back the beedrill isnt that hard and you need a good draw core to be fast.the discovery beedril is in the because the attacks are a little more reliable and it throws people off.then you can just beat them and de-evolve it into the skyridge one.well i hope this helps.

Here's my favorate variation: Pokemon: 20
4 Weedle (your choice) 4 Kakuna (skyridge) 4 Beedrill (skyridge) 2 Staryu (skyridge) 2 Starmie (skyridge, uncommon) 1 Tyrogue 1 Elekid 2 Cleffa
Trainers: 23
3 Proffesor Elm 4 Copycat/Oak's Research/Desert Shaman (whichever) 3 Lure Ball 2 Pokemon Trader 1 Pokemon Fan Club 1 Town Volanteers 2 Focus Band 2 Gold Berry 1 Undersea Ruins 1 Mirage Stadiom 3 Hyper Develution Spray
Energy: 17
5 Grass 4 Water 2 Retro 2 Recycle 2 Warp 1 Boost 1 Cyclone
With Starmie as the Backup you can hit both fire pokemon and metel with core blast making it less weak to fire and metel decks. Also watch out for opponents warp energy! Nice deck BTW!

Why did you post your 3 times.
Sometimes these boards act up and things get posted multiple times by accident. I've seen cases where things have been duplicated 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 16 times through the archives. [ June 06, 2003, 07:54 AM: Message edited by: Carrington388 ]
