It looks very solid. Personally, I'd add a 4th Magcargo. I always discard one when I Howl =/.

Hey I like the deck, We play alot of fire at the tourney we have here. I'd add more energy and rely on howl:

Pokemon: 15
4 Slugma (3 Destiny/1 Revelation)
4 Magcargo
4 Entei (3 Holo/1 NonHolo)
3 Cleffa

Trainers: 18
4 Professor Elm
4 Pokemon Trader
3 Double Gust
3 Focus Band
1 Time Capsule
3 Scoop Up

Energy

Fire 27

This way when you Howl odds are you will draw 3 energies Magcargo is powered by 2nd turn.

No need for healing field gold berries, Your only weakness is water and a gold berry against a water deck will not do you any good, but a focus band gives you a 50% chance to nock out there guy as well.

Scoop up is for healing and replaying Entei to howl. You might Howl 3-4 times in a game to power up 3 Macgargo if one gets knocked out then you have another with 4 energies on the nench to hit for 40-120 damage.

Hope that helps!

For some reason, i dont think that is enough energy for this deck. But if it works, keep it. Very solid deck.

ok people pichu does NOT beat this deck. If you play vs pichu swarms right you can beat it and the 2 Gold Berry and 1 HF make zzap small chump stuff. This is a solid deck and one of the best imo

Uhm... Is a Cool Deck [Embarrassed] , but may have more Magcargo, Holo Entei, and Cleffa (I love Cleffa [Big Grin] ).
Take a look:

Pokémon: 16
4x Slugma (Destiny)
3x Magcargo
4x Entei (Holo, please)
3x Cleffa (Genesis)
2x Igglybuff

Energy: 15
15x Fire

Treiner: 29
4x Prof. Elm
4x Copycat
3x Prof. Elm Traning Method
4x Pokémon Trader
3x Focus Band
4x Gold Berry
3x Energy Ark (feel energy)
4x Bill (Legendary)

It's more cool! Trie attack with Magcargo, 2-4 Fire Energy on 2ş turn, Focus Band on Cleffa, Entei (For Pichu)and Magcargo (Killer, Never Kiled). Is time to get fire! [Wink]

(Only a thig: I am a Brazilian, I don't speak English!)

--------------------
Elm - Shufle your hand into your deck. Then, draw 7 cards. You can't play any more Trainer cards this turn.

Well gee...looks like a good deck...only we seen it a thousand times. Taking out a Magcargo and adding a tyrouge doesn't make you a good deck builder or cerative.

I post a non-Archtypical deck and get zero responses...you all see an Entei/Cargo and fall all over yourselves to say how good yours is and say 'ooh...good deck, but my exact copy is better'...with 7 replies in one day.

Pokemon is stagnate now...I'm putting out this open call for creative deck builders to remake the face of the game...

GAH! You are all so frustrating

Hey thanks all for your input and ideas. I think that Entei/Cargo never really left Sauron. The game has been asleep, but people just assumed this deck is gone. News for ya'll: It still is a very deadly threat.

Pichu doesn't kill this deck. All you have to do is play intelligently and you shouldn't have a problem. I find that 2 Gold Berry/1 Healing Fields or 2 Healing Fields/1 Gold Berry should be more than enough. I also find 21 Fire Energy to be enough for me. I only need 1-2 Energy to gain the advantage. Marty has been helping me a lot with the deck and proving insight. Kudos to you, Marty and everyone else over @ Pojo and here who's been prompting ideas.

The only thing I'd like to fit in here that I don't have room for is Dual Ball. I would just rather have healing. For now at least...

Psychic_Prof: Uh...riiight dude. [Bored] First you need to take a chill pill. Do you even know who you're talking to about originality?

I guess:
Espeon/Jumpluff @ WCSTS 2001 (MF)
Espeon/Light Golduck (MMF)
Steelix/Mantine (MMF)
Light Dragonite/Mantine (MMF)
Blaine's Rapidash/Electabuzz @ ECSTS 2000 (Standard)
As well as _MANY OTHER_ Rogue decks throughout my gaming career means nothing.

There's no reason to go postal because someone posts an archetypical deck. =/ Eh, whatever.

Sorry Gymbo...didn't see who it was...I know YOU use a little creativity with your decks. I dunno...I see an Entei/Cargo post and I start seein' red.

I apologize for my rashness...but I find it very unfortunate that people don't seem to want to pioneer their own decks.

For your information prof I havent seen a Cargo Entei posted in awhile and the fact of the matter is this is more then a discussion about gymbos decklist its about the deck in general and how it can be made better it is/or has the potential to be the best deck in MF. For my fixes jim

-1 Tyrogue (Its unessacary imo I mean a cargo built turn 2 will take out any threat and win you the game anyways [Big Grin] )

-1 Energy

+1 Cargo ( I like 4 I always seem to discard 1 in howl anyways >_<)

+1 HF

thats it jim good deck [Devilish]

Gymbo _ I dont kn ow dude. It all goes back to Water. That is the biggest reason that I see BS Buzz back in the picture. Water, Water everywhere. Especially at the big ones. Look at Worlds last year Dark G8r took 1st in 11-14. When it comes to major tourneys when alot of players are present I would say that Fire has troubles against Water. I know you know that. Otherwise locally it does real good but all Im saying is that with 2 new Gatrs and 2 new Blastoises the Water liine will be ever so popular.

Granted a water deck SHOULD have advantage over this but in old MF did grass have the ability to beat feral? No. This is the same thing in with the new MMF and the fact is when worlds was around thier was such good search as dual ball or copycat. Thier was bill =/. The new cards speed this deck up so much that it is a lot more consistant and has the ability to face any deck turn 2 even a water deck.

Psychic_Prof: You didn't do any damage. I too often wonder about people and archetypes. I used to throw fits and tirades when I saw Archetypes. It doesn't do any good dude. Because even those decks require skill. I am not putting Rogue decks down at all. But all archtypes are are other people's Rogue Decks that have become popular. So if you ever create a Rogue deck that becomes an archetype, what would you do, kill yourself?

Levi: I dunno, I just like Tyrogue in there. I often use it just because its a baby. Free retreat, etc. Plus it can Smash Punch Pichus. I dunno about losing the energy, but if I would, I'd get another Fields in. Three Cargo is enough IMO. If you discard too many via Howl, just TC them back in. I also have to agree with you about your point about Old Modified and Gatr and it's weakness. However, I disagree with you on that this deck mirrors Riptide Feraligatr's dominance in this format.

Mr. Blaze: Well, I agree that base Electabuzz is a great basic, it's the best ever IMO. But, Buzz doesn't belong in this format. He belongs to a forgotten age so to speak. Buzz was just so much more dominating in Unlimited. And I have to admit with the increase of Electric weak Water Pokemon that can oppose Entei/Cargo, Buzz has some large potential power. However, Tyrogue haunts me too much. That is the second most played Baby second to Cleffa. (People argue over Magby and Pichu usage). And any Electric weak Water Pokemon deck will play at least 2 of those cards.

Sauron: There's no need for your angry attitude. I am not some egomaniac that goes around flaunting all of my ideas or something like that. I wasn't using my name or reputation to popularize this deck in any way. All I did was list some examples of my Rogue ideas, because for the most part I DO play creatively. I cannot help if people agree with me, but they aren't falling at my feet. Eltude is a good friend of mine, and is offering his thoughts. Chill out a little.

Runner of Track [Wink] : I want Focus Bands in the deck so that I can combat mirror matches. Four Gold Berry and two Fields would be a little excessive. The main healing need is against annoying baby Pokemon like Pichu and Tyrogue. Thanks though for replying.
