I'm back with another theme deck remake. This is a remake of the Jungle theme deck. First, here is the original deck:
Pokémon (24) 4 Poliwag (Base Set) 2 Poliwhirl (Base Set) 1 Seel (Base Set) 1 Vaporeon (Jungle) 2 Machop (Base Set) 1 Rhydon (Jungle) 3 Rhyhorn (Jungle) 4 Eevee (Jungle) 4 Meowth (Jungle) 2 Persian (Jungle)
Trainers (8) 2 Gust of Wind (Base Set) 2 Potion (Base Set) 1 Professor Oak (Base Set) 2 Super Potion (Base Set) 1 Switch (Base Set)
Energy (28) 14 Water Energy 14 Fighting Energy
Now it's time for me to remake the deck for the Modified format.
I decided to have some more Vaporeon in there. The Skyridge Vaporeon is a bit too risky, especially early in the game. Thus I decided on Light Vaporeon, which can heal and inflict Sleep as well. I dropped the Seel and a Poliwag to add some more in.
As for my other Water line, I decided on a Marill line instead of Poliwag (which would need Stage 2, which I want to keep a Stage 1 line), using promo Marill and Aquapolis Azumarill.
I decided against a Rhydon line due to the fact that it would cost too much to retreat, opting for a less-retreating Primeape line. I dropped one Machop for a Switch and another for Primeape.
I took out the Persian line for three each of Moo-Moo Milk and Energy Stadium. The Potions and Oaks became Elms. While Super Potion is a good healing card in Unlimited, it's not allowed in the Modified format, so I turned them into a Copycat and another Switch (the card's been reprinted twice, so you can use the Switches that came in the original). The Gusts also became Copycat.
Next, I dropped 2 Fighting Energy for Aquapolis Tyrogue (discarding Special Energy). Then I took out 4 more Fighting Energy to add one to each Trainer except Elm. Finally, I dropped 2 Water Energy to put in Town Volunteers.
And that's it! Here is Water Blast 2K3:
Pokémon (19) 3 Marill (Promo #29) 2 Azumarill (Aquapolis) 4 Eevee (Neo Discovery) 3 Light Vaporeon (Neo Destiny) 3 Mankey (Aquapolis) 2 Primeape (Legendary Collection) 2 Tyrogue (Aquapolis)
Trainers (21) 4 Copycat (Expedition) 3 Professor Elm (Neo Genesis) 4 Switch (Expedition) 4 Moo-Moo Milk (Neo Genesis) 4 Energy Stadium (Neo Destiny) 2 Town Volunteers (Aquapolis)
Energy (20) 12 Water Energy 8 Fighting Energy
And now you may post your comments, fixes, and/or suggestions. [ May 30, 2003, 06:30 PM: Message edited by: Carrington388 ]

Whoa there dude, you're running an awful lot of evolutions, you're pretty heavy on energy, and you need to amp up on your trainers some. Lets see...
Cuts: (25) 3x Mankey 2x Primape 2x Tyrogue 8x Fighting Energy 4x Moo Moo Milk 4x Energy Stadium 2x Switch
Adds: 2x Tyrogue (DISCOVERY!!!) 3x Cleffa (Genesis) 3x Double Gust (Genesis) 4x Focus Band (Genesis) 4x Recycle Energy (Genesis) 1x Marill (#29) 1x Azumarill (Aquapolis) 3x Pokemon Trader (Legendary Collection) 2x Pokemon Fan Club (Aquapolis) 2x Fast Ball (Skyridge)
-------------------- Why do I like this job? Because the pay's good, the scenary changes, and they let me use explosives ^_^.
