Okay, the Mewtwo man should be stickin' with his psychic powers, but he also wants to have a pretty good fire deck, but this is what I have............

Pokemon:
3 Charmander (base Set)
2 Charmeleon (Base Set)
1 Charizard (Base Set)
3 Dratini (Base Set)
1 Dratini (Neo Destiny)
3 Dragonair (base Set)
1 Dragonite (fossil set)
1 Dragonite (promo)
1 Light Dragonair
1 Light Dragonite
1 Aerodactyl (Neo Discovery??)
1 Shining Gyarados

Trainers:
2 Pokemon Breeder
2 pokemon Trader
2 challenge!!
2 super energy retrieval
2 gold berry
1 energy arc
2 myserious fossil

Energy:
4 Recycle Energy
18 Fire energy
6 water energy

The idea here is to use charizard as your main damage, using your 4 recycle energy to pay for it if possible. Use light Dragonite as your other attacker. Use the promo Dragonite's power to get a new card each turn without killing your deck. Use the fossil dragonite as a way of getting a cofused, paralyzed, alseep....ect out of the way to get on with killing. use Aerodactyl to use your many big evolutions' smaller form's attacks.

As long as the post is readable, spelling doesn't really matter. What does matter are replies that are appropriate for the topic discussion.

first how are you going to use shining gyrados without magikarp and you have way to many threads take out the light dragonair and dragonite and add another dragonite(base) and another gold berry. as well as take out challenge, it's good in wigglytuff decks but not in fire, add in some garbageruns instead.

i think it should be called Dragons breath since it has all dragons.

Fyi:

Any Shining Card, Be it a Celebi, Gyarados, or Charizard, is always considered a Basic Pokemon.

You may want to keep that in mind waterpokemonmaster.

About the Deck, how about you call it "White Hot"?

Everyone, Mewtwo Man needs names, not advice. Howabout Dragon's Wrath??? I like the deck it is well rounded for a fire deck. I know i am a hypocrite, but 1 last thing, put in a Chansey or 2 to have it shield bench , and itself. dropa recycle and put in a double coloress.

Sorry, but this isn't a really nice fire deck. A nice deck is a focused deck. If you want a nice deck, don't put in TOO MANY SINGLES. I suggest using Cleffa for the baby Pokemon to help you draw faster.

Make the evolution line 4-4-3 or 4-3-3 or 3-3-3. Focus on one or two evolution lines only. Too much will make your deck unstable.

Trainers should be the most in a deck. The good trainers to use are
1. Computer Search(have 4 of this in your deck)
2. Item Finder(have about 3 in your deck)
3. Super Energy Removal/Energy Removal
4. Gold Berry
5. Gust of Wind(this is a must)
6. Pokemon Breeder(if you have a stage 2 Pokemon)
7. Nightly Garbage Run(don't make you deck out)
8. Professor Oak(deck drawing)
9. Professor Elm(deck drawing and anti-decking)
10. Pluspower(have 4 of this in a deck!)

Scyther is fast, but not as fast as Scizor.

Scyther is strong, but not as strong as Scizor.

Scyther has a few attacks, but Scizor has more attacks.

Scyther is a Grass Pokemon, Scizor is not(HAHAHA!!!)

Hey, about the guy calling my deck sucidal.......THIS DECK HAS NOT LOST ME ONE GAME YET, AND SHOVE THAT IN YOUR PIPE AND SMOKE IT!!!!!
Thanks for the other tips and advice........really good turn out except for one guy.........no names...................The deck is now called: The Dragon's Fury
(white Hot was in second, but I'd have to move my Shining Charizard into the deck to make the name real)

He's playing in a circle of friends that have as little experience as he does, that's what. Harsh, yes, but don't ask us to fix your deck then go off when we give you a GOOD fix hoping you'll realize how bad off the original was.

The main points have already been nailed, too many Pokemon, too few trainers, and too many energy. What they all mean by "it lacks focus", is that it's to slow and far to uncertain. Any experienced player would have a proper attacker set up within the first 4 turns, and will completely tear apart any attempt to get something up and running quickly. Besides the fact that you're not likely to get something up and running quickly, your deck is to luck based, and you NEVER want to depend on luck, it just won't hold up properly. And while you can't eliminate luck entirely, you can severely reduce your dependance on the luck of the draw. You need Search engines and heavy card drawing, such as Professor Oak, Computer Search, Item Finder, Professor Elm, etc. I'm assuming this is supposed to be an unlimited deck since the fossil Dragonite makes the deck illegal in modified play. Try the following if you absolutely have to have a Charizard deck.

Pokemon: 17
4 Charmander (Rocket)
3 Charmeleon (LC)
3 Charizard (LC)
2 Cleffa
3 Rocket's Scyther
2 Aerodactyl (Neo Revelation)

Trainers: 29
3 Computer Search
4 Item Finder
4 Energy Removal
3 Super Energy Removal
3 Professor Oak
2 Nightly Garbage Run
2 Gold Berry
3 Focus Band
3 Healing Fields
2 Mysterious Fossil

Energy: 14
4 Recycle Energy
5 Grass Energy
5 Fire Energy

As always, I despise completely debunking another's deck without being able to properly back up my claims. If you would like me to back up everything that I, and everyone else has said so far, feel free to contact me over AIM or Yahoo via the name "MasterHunterZero". I'll be glad to play you an Apprentice match and prove what I've said so far.

Okay the idea behind this deck is pretty sound and although not a "killer deck" that will stand up to the Architypes it is a good one.

But as has been said the execution of that idea is a little off. So let's take the overall strategy..

quote:

The idea here is to use charizard as your main damage, using your 4 recycle energy to pay for it if possible........ use Aerodactyl to use your many big evolutions' smaller form's attacks.

I have deliberately left out dragonite because I do not think you need him! And if we are going to use Aerodactyl's prehistoric memory we don't really want breeder in there! Oh and the Aerodactyl is from Neo Revelations not Discovery [Wink]

Also as a way of future proofing this deck we could look to make it MMF/Neon...

So waht should the deck look like...

Let's start with the Pokes first..

Pokemon: 19
(yes i know mysterious fossil isn't really a poke)
4 Charmander (base Set/base 2/LC)
3 Charmeleon (Base Set/base 2/LC)
3 Charizard (Base Set/base 2/LC)
3 Aerodactyl (Neo Revelation)
4 Mysterious Fossil (Fossil/LC)
2 Cleffa (Neo Genesis)

Now for the

Trainers: 22
4 x Elm (Neo Genesis)
4 x Bill (Base Set/base 2/LC)
3 x Double Gust(Neo Genesis)
3 x Pokemon Trader (Base Set/base 2/LC)
3 x Healing Fields (Neo Revelation)
2 x Time Capsule
3 x Focus Band

Energy: 19
3 x Full Heal Energy (TR/LC)
3 x Recycle Energy
13 x Fire Energy

There now the deck is focused on getting Charizard out using his power to turn the Colourless energy in here to fire and using Aerodactyl's power when needed to attack using Charmeleon's or Charmanders attacks.

Aerodactyl itself can be a escondary attacker if needed.

This isn't perfect and I have deliberately left out Holo Entei who should be in here but then the deck changes completely...

Have fun and enjoy and ignore us if you want too cos after all is said and done it is your deck [Wink]
