This is a deck that I helped my friend to build -- he has done fairly well with it. Although when he playtested against my Crobat he lose because he can't get his Feraligatrs up and running that fast. So, he needs some more speed, but he doesn't know what to take out nor what to replace and frankly... Niether do I... So, here it goes, his Callegatr:

[Callegatr version 1.0001]
[19 Pokémon]
[4] Totodile [NGen]
[4] Croconaw [NGen]
[4] Feraligatr [Ex]
[3] Cleffa [NGen]
[2] Tyrouge [NDis]
[2] Elekid [NGen]

[16 Energies]
[12] Water
[04] Metal

[25 Trainers]
[4] Pokémon Trader
[4] Copycat
[4] Professor Elm
[4] Switch
[3] Gold Berry
[2] Focus Band
[2] Town Volunteers
[2] Energy Stadium

Well, its basically the old hit-fast-run-hit-hard sort of thingie. You know, attack with Elekid and Tyrouge early in the game while building up one or more Feraligatrs on the bench, ready to deal some major damage. Gold Berry and Focus Band helps them stay alive for a while longer as well. He playtested with Double Gust instead of Switch before but then his Totodiles got gusted up and then knocked out. So, he decided to remove them for four Switch instead that would help him get out of poison and confusion and other status effects. Energy Stadium helps to get his energies back, but a Pokémon Tower would be good in my opinion to keep those pesky Kingdras at bay.

That was the strategy my friend and I sort of came up with while playtesting. Comments and fixes are welcome!!

Just a thought...why not try using Memory Nut or some Water Cube to attack with gatr earlier in the game?? Also, NH Suicune IMO would help so you can -4 Switch and + 4 Dbl Gust. This way you get the MT power and Suicune abuse og Dbl Gust. Just a few thoughts....Dont underestimate the power of Magby in this deck as well....

Thanks for all the replies, I'll talk to my friend as soon as possible to discuss your opinions. To come to a conclusion on what to take out and put into the deck. Thanks again for the help and keep the replies coming.

Hiya... [teach]

Well hmm...there's a couple things I noticed in the deck that really doesn't effectively work with the whole strategy of the deck. Your analysis of the strategy is right. You get the early damage and then just ream the opponent. My whole "Marking" the opponent strategy comes in there. You may want to give the Magby trick a shot, it's pretty sweet. You also may want to play a Skarmory that has Resistance to Grass for Grass Pokemon that have Water Resistance. The most glaring hole in the list is the absense of Double Gust. Drop the Switch. Gatr does that by itself, you don't need them. Change Switch to Double Gust. You may also want to get another Gold Berry in there. Gatr is just amazing with 4 Gold Berries. And like others have said the Rage Totodile and Memory Trick is especially sneaky. Any questions you can always IM me at Elite Mech Gymbo.

Thanks for the help Gymbo. I have now talked with my friend about the strategy of the deck and all the fixes we got on the deck itself. So, we are now working on a never before seen *coughhopefullycough* Major Tsunami Feraligatr. It will include some of your fixes -- although in a twisted kind of way. My friend asked me specifically not to say anything more before he and I have playtested the deck into perfection. But, I'll try to talk to you over AIM, Gymbo. So, that you can tell me more about all the hidden combos and tricks that a real Major Tsunami deck should contain and more. Also, my IM is; DarkWizardmon2

Thanks again for all fixes and keep them coming!

I find the idea very interesting, but could use a little tWeAkInG:

[19 Pokémon]
[4] Totodile [NGen]
[4] Croconaw [NGen]
[4] Feraligatr [Ex]
[3] Cleffa [NGen]
[2] Tyrouge [NDis]
[2] Elekid [NGen]

[16 Energies]
[16] Water

[25 Trainers]
[4] Bill
[3] Pokémon Trader
[3] Professor Elm
[3] Professor Oak's Research
[3] Gold Berry
[3] Focus Band
[2] Town Volunteers
[2] Pokemon Fan Club
[2] Copycat

I didn't see much in this deck I didn't like, so I only slightly tWeAkEd. Good luck!
