Steel Arcanine(MF)

20 Pokemon

3 NG Typhlosion
3 NG Quilava
4 NG Cyndaquil
3 BS Arcanine
4 BS Growlithe
3 NG Cleffa

24 Trainers

3 Professor Elm
2 Double Gust
3 Switch
3 Gold Berry
3 Focus Band
3 Copycat
3 Pokemon Breeder
2 Town Volunteer
2 Juggler

16 Energy

3 Steel
13 Fire Energy

The point to this deck is to get a arcanine out there with one steel and 3 fire attacked to it doing 70 a turn and 10 to itself. Typhlosion is in there so that arcanine can get powered up very quick and to abuse its power i added in some juggler. I don't know if some of the lower evolutions are the best but if not, maybe someone can give me a good idea what is.

For me, three Cleffas is too many. Perhaps drop on a put in an Elekid to cover your weakness a bit. Also, why have three breeders and three stage Quilavas? Drop two of either, IMO.
Which Cyndaquil has the Smokescreen attack? That's my favorite. I think it's Neo Rev.
For the Quillies from Neo Gen, I'd recommend the 70 HP version which also has Smokescreen. It's great to stall while you build up the big guys.
This looks like a fun deck.

Pssst...I like to be creative and not use the same cheap deck. But thanks.

What is it with some of you newer people here lately?
I got news fer ya bud. Puh-lenty of people have played typhlosion and arcanine - including Blaine's Arcanine. Do a search - you'll find plenty - probably a few of mine from over a year ago. So ditch the "creative" crapola. I was simply trying to point out that Entei is a faster method of getting the Arcanine charged up.

Prime: It looks like a well shaped deck but I do recommend you throw in say 1-2 Entei to pull off late-game emergencies, but it doesn't make a primary strategy just a secondary. However if you think it puts your unique deck a bit off, other cards like Arcanine from Skyridge can help if you would rather perfer. This way you can keep your strategies but with power added on. Also try to compliment your Elms with a non-Supporter cards like Bill or Bill's Teleporter.

Its a good deck and its a shame the Arci/Metal combo will be no good when Nintendo fully takes over.

Well im not new here. I have been here for 10 months. Thinking over what I said, arcanine isn't really creative either. But alot more people play magcargo and well I am sick of people playing magcargo so I wanted to play something just as good. Sure magcargo is better but....be quiet [Smile] But I think I am going to change the deck but maybe not at this time.

Now that's a whole nuther story. Me too. Unfortnately Magcargo has one unique feature - he can be tuned to deal out anything from 40 up to however many fire energies he has on him damage. That's pretty good and hard to equal. But not to despair - one I have been playing with is a modified version of an old favorite using Arcanine - The Cleaner. Ever heard of it? A damn fine deck in it's day. It typically used Koffing and other annoyances to put a status on the defending pokemon keeping them off balance until the Arcanine got powered up and he would come in and "clean house". (Actually I always figured it had something to do with a paid killer type "cleaner" - paid to clean up someone elses mess.)
Anyway - Metal Cleaner arcanine works well with promo Iggly it would be even better if a consistant confuser with decent HP were to be found.
