The league at my place allows Sneasel (DAMN YOU SNEASEL). With an amateur tournament coming up, I suspect half of the entrants will be using it. What are so good ways to take down Sneasel?

Simply Put, heavy energy Removal. 4 ER and 4 SER in a deck is a sure way to make the opponent cry. Combo this with Clefable and Recycle Energy, and you've got a seriously annoying force to be reckoned with.

...And shouldn't this be in single card strategies and rulings?

Energy removal and ditto with double colorless are the best ways to go about it.

...and tell your TO to look at the T8...and how many of the decks are sneasel...maybe he/she'll reconsider unlimited or the allowance of sneasel.

Notice the title... "Deck Help and _Strategy_".
Thanks, I'll try that.

TO? T8? Actually, the leader himself uses Sneasel, so it won't be easy.

Don't forget Item Finder with those removals. Smeargle will work, but it is vulnerable. Ditto is too vulnerable to attack/retreat for baby.
If you don't mind flipping, try Togetic. No weakness, resistance to fighting (rather than weakness to fighting, like Clefairy/fable) and Super Metronome can do Beat Up while Sneasel is on the bench recovering from energy removal.

If you do use Ditto for the sure thing (no flips) use gusts to bring the Sneasels from the bench

Erikas Dratini with its pokemon power allows only 10 damage per turn from a basic pokemon. This would slow down Sneasal. Combine with berry or potion and you could stall. Even Pichu would only due 10 damage to Ericka Dratini. You might try one or two of these in your deck...

I forgot to mention that I'd like to avoid stalling if possible, mainly because I have four ERs, but only two NGRs in my deck.

What I'm planning to use is Light Jolteon. Pulse Guard (Prevent all damage over 30 on your opponent's next turn) is good, it's impossible to do less than 40 damage with Beat Up (Dark Energy Boosts), so Sneasel (DAMN YOU SNEASEL) would resort to Fury Swipes, which will get boosted by Dark Energies, so that too will have a low chance of doing less than 30 damage.

Thunder Needle is nice, 20 x 3 damage, and Paralysis on more than two heads. I also have four ERs like I said earlier, but no SERs.

So what I'm really concerned about is if I don't get Light Jolty out before Sneasel (DAMN YOU SNEASEL) powers up.

You need SUPER Energy Removals & Item finders.

ANYTHING can do 30 consistently can take out Sneasel: Electabuzz (BS), Scyther (sword dance it if you have to)

If they run gold berries BE SMART and not activate it.

PLAY Chansey and double edge it to death... c'mon UNLESS they are lucky flippers THEY cannot take out Chansey in one hit.

You could also try Steelix, THAT is how my bro solved the Sneasal problem.

Why hnot play Clefable? And TecH ditto, the fastest sneasal around!!

Goodluck!!

I could name a million ways to take down pokemon especially sneasel. here are some:
1.)2 words, light machamp he can take him down in one turn (if you get heads)
2.) a pokemon who can hurt the bench badly(think electric and psychic)
3.)I have no troubles with them I just use my scyther deck i'd tell you it but I hav to go to the mall to buy a turmoil deck before my dad leaves with the car.

"he who goes to bed with itchy butt wakes up with stinky hands"--my dad

"ya can't fool me with me with rhymes that are empty, rappin' to a beat doesn't make you an emcee, with your lack of skill and facillity your killin' my and a dj in the group jus for credability"-- a linkin park song
