I usually don't post decks here, but I really think this one has great potential! I got 3 Umbreons in my Aquapolis box, and wanted to find a great use for them. After 20 minutes of thinking, I came up with Pidgeot... After MORE thinking, I came up with this...

Dark Winds v.1.0
Created 1.31.03

Pokemon: 19
4 Eevee (Neo2)
4 Umbreon (3 E2, 1 Neo2)
3 Pidgey (E1)
2 Pidgeot (LC)
3 Cleffa
2 Tyrogue (Neo2)
1 Sneasel (E2)

Energy: 14
4 Darkness
4 Rainbow
4 Recycle
2 Full Heal En.

Trainers: 27
4 Bill
3 Breeder
3 Trader
3 Copycat
3 Oak's Research
3 Gold Berry
3 Focus Band
3 Power Charge
2 Broken Ground Gym

I know this may look very strange in text, but if a deck actually appears good to me, it must have some potential.
Strategy: In my own words, Aquapolis Umby is the "Modified RSA". If I can get 3 Darkness/Rainbows on Umby, thats 3 cards I can send to my opponent's deck. Sure, this allows them to also DRAW 3, but 90% of the time, those that they draw won't make up for the ones I send away. ALSO: By attacking, the Defending Pokemon can't Retreat, making it MUCH harder to get a Cleffa up, to help your opponent recover from you messing his hand up.
NOW, I've got Pidgeot. Reasoning: Huge Stage 2 Pokemon. Use Hurricane to send one of them to your opponent's hand. On their turn, they'll be able to play the Basic, and one Energy. By my next turn, I'd Free Retreat to Umby, use Dark Moon and remove part or all of that evolution line!
Other explanations:
~Neo2 Umby- This is here for simple picking off of the opponent's Bench. While the E2 Umbys are the focus, it doesn't hurt to have this one in here to remove Cleffas and so on.
~Sneasel- Quick, early game messing up of opponent's hand, before Umby can get set up.
~Broken Ground Gym- Umby retreats for (*), Pidgeot is free, and the other Pokemon can take advantage of Recycles, if needed. This is to make it even HARDER for opponent to change Pokemon.

Thanks for reading this decklist, and PLEASE post comments and so on! (And if Umby/Pidgeot turns out to be an Archetype, make sure Baboon gets credit :-p)

I must say, a very good strategy. I wish i thought of it though =/

As for deck checks, im not really good at that. But strategy wise, i think its great! Now that Umbreon has weakness to fighting, pidgeot can cover for it. A very excellent disruption deck. I might think of stealing it... Jus kidding [Wink]

Looks good... yes, he asked me for suggestions, hence the N2 Umby which started off as a misunderstanding and the e2 Sneasel as TecH. I think you need something to bnab basics from the deck... *goes searching...

I recommend squeezing in a couple Boost Energy for Pidgeot in case of an extreme emergency like quickly taking down a Light Dragonite fast.

This is a GREAT deck idea, Baboon. That strategy is just madness. I do have a couple suggestions, though.

I would drop a Cleffa for a fourth Power Charge, due to all the Special Energies in this thing. Cleffa isn't needed as much anyway, due to Slowking's demise.

Where are the Elms? Bill, Trader, Copycat, Oak's Research, okay... no Elm?? I dunno, I would just feel better about the deck's consistency with four Elm in there instead of four Bill. Unless you have a legitimate reason for not putting the good professor in here? [Smile]

Everything else looks great, though. NICE deck, Baboon!

Hmmm...interesting strategy you have here. Let me see what I can do. *Deck Mech Gloves come off*

Dark Winds
Modified Format˛

Pokemon: 21
4 Eevee (Neo2)
4 Umbreon (2 Aquapolis/2 Discovery Holo)
3 Pidgey (Expedition)
3 Pidgeotto (LC)
2 Pidgeot (LC)
3 Cleffa
2 Tyrogue

Energy: 15
4 Darkness
4 Recycle
4 Potion
3 Rainbow

Trainers: 24
4 Professor Elm
4 Pokemon Trader
4 Double Gust
4 Copycat
4 Focus Band
2 Power Charge
1 Town Volunteers
1 Darkness Cube

There you are. Some tweaks. I hate Pokemon Breeder and cut them. Focus Bands along with Potion Energy should aid the life of your Pokemon. I got some stronger and more reliable drawing in your deck. I would go with Darkness Cube over Sneasel. There you go, a quick tweak for ya!

Hmm...
Something I would like to share: Professor Elm is no longer that great for me and Baboon. [Eek!] What do I mean? THink about it: we now have a lot of good Trainers. Draw them with Elm and you have to wait a turn to use them. The e2 Sneasel was suggested because if you Elm or Eeeeeeeek, you have to wait to use any drawn Trainers. Surprise! That evil weasel shoves all Tools and Technical Machines back into the deck. Now, I play Baboon on occaision. There are many times where we have both been saved by Focus Bands and Gold Berries. So who else will be crazy enough to run the other Sneasel, you say? Well, I might, but that'snot the full point. That turn of wating for Trainers after an Elm is a most severe punishment. Baboon and I have learned that in our matches. Like many, he tried to pull off the Copycat/Elm combo. Once every ten times it worked. By worked, I mean he got the cards, used them, and actually played other cards between and after them. About two out of five times, he managed to get one or two cards from one or the other. Half the time (five out of ten for the fractionally impaired [Wink] ), he'd Copycat a good sized hand (5 cards or more), then immediately Elm (so he only got one good card out of it). I think all but one of the times he did that (so four), he had an active Cleffa and Eeeeeeeked immediately after the Elm. The point? Elm is not as good as he used to be for players like Baboon (and me). Baboon has 27 Trainers in his initail post of the deck. So about three of the seven cards from an Elm will be unusable for the remainder of the turn. The other draw cards don't, and can still nab you a good deal of cards. Oak is reliable, and while you get two cards less, the only way you can't use them is if they are supporters.

Well, I am out of time for now. I only posted this as I am trying to figure a fix for the deck. I am torn between the new supporter that nabs two basics or good old Pokemon March in place of two Bills. I don't want to make the deck two supporter heavy, but the one I am thinking of is far superior to March otherwise. Since I talk to Baboon semi-regularly, I knew why he is not using Elms right now.

Baboon: If I overstepped or just got it rong, let me know and I'll edit out taht part of the post.

Later [Smile]
