Well, I made my first deck, mostly fire, but some electric. Here it is:

Way 2 many Pokemon, not enough trainers. Don't play 2 Light Ninetails with one Vulpix. Don't play one Blaine's Charmeleon with one Blaine's Charmander.

ok, since I am working on making decks for new players right now, this should be rather simple.
Pokemon:18
4-Charmander~it doesn't matter if its base rocket or both~
3-Charmeleon~base set~
3-Magmar~use fossil...if you don't have any, use neo~
3-Lt.Surges Eevee
2-Lt Surges Jolteon
2-lt surges pikachu
1-Electabuzz~base set, find it, get it!!!~
Trainers:16
4-Bill~it should be rather simple to get~
3-Plus Power
3-Energy Removal~great card, make sure to get them~
2-Professor oak~base set if you didn't know~
2-Professor Elm~neo genesis~
2-Nightly Garbage Run~team rocket~
Energy:26
2-Double Colorless~base, get them~
11-Electric
13-Fire

You need to add more trainers,and decrease some of your pokemon.u only have 1 eevee and 3 jolteon,u need eevee's to evolve in to jolteon.you'lll get the hang of it eventuall my webpage ![[NoNoNo]](graemlins/nonono.gif) y

Hey Pres Guy, they're right. I think you do have a FEW too many Pokemon. (hey I have the same problem!!) Here's what I think would be a smooth running deck for ya:
- 3 Charmander
- Vulpix
- 2 Light Ninetales (sorry man)
- 2 Ponyta
- 2 Lt. Surge's Pikachu
- 1 Sleep!
That leaves 11 spots exactly. Now, for the new recruits:
+ 3 Charmander (Rocket)
+ 2 Charizard (yea man whar do ya think i got my ID???)
+ 1 Eevee (Jungle?)
+ 3 Nightly Garbage Run
+ 2 Erika
Now, I think that's a pretty good deck. It has power, and its a VERY good variety. You can also get out (and back in) quickly w/ these new trainers. Only thing is, there still might be too many Pkmn...well, decide for yourself! Make ur deck your signature! These are all opinions, bud. Think for yourself!! Goodluck!! ![[Wink]](wink.gif)

Thanks guys, you helped out a lot! I agree, what was I thinking? I must've been half asleep when I put together this horrific deck. Here is the new one based on all the advice I received, but you have to remember that because I don't have all of the cards you guys mentioned, I had to substitute others!

much much better, but try to concentrate on 1 or 2 evolution chains, and add other pokemon to support them. try Growlithe/Arcanine and Lt. Surge Eevee/Lt. Surge Jolteon. or try Blaine's Ponyta and Blaine's Rapidash instead of the Growlithe chain. use Magmar (fossil) and Electabuzz (base 2/neo genesis). use babies if you can, any of them can help. try to decrease your energy and add drawing power, like Oak, Elm, and Bill.

Babies are 30 HP Pokemon that can evlove into others (Smoochum is a Baby, evolves into Jynx). Babies have a special power, where your opponent must flip a coin. If Tails, the baby takes no damage. Remove the DCE and Potion to add 2 Bill, rid yourself of Oak, Pokemon Personality Test and Gold berry, you need to pick one and make all three of those the same (I suggest Gold Berry). get rid of NGR, make it a Trash Exchange (doubles effective deck size by 1.2 to 1.8, depending on when you use it.). Make the RSA another Trash Exchange. Rid yourself of Surge's Magnamite/Magnaton, and add 3 Jungle Pikachu and 2 Fossil Raichu. So overall:
-DCE +2 Bill
-Potion Energy +3 NGR
-Oak +2 Trash Exchange
-PPT
-Gold Berry +3 Jungle Pikachu
-RSA +2 Fossil Raichu
-4 Surge's Magnamite
-Surge's Magneton
-NGR
This lets you do bench damage while being able to endlessly recycle Pokemon and Energy. Even better to help, remove a couple of cards for some CPU Search.
I really hope this helps, and with these changes, it looks like a worthy deck. After you get some more cards, make the deck all Lightning to make it run better. I never could see Fire/Lightning as a good combo...
(Actually, remove the Defender and Gold Berries to make room for Trash Exchange and NGR. I accidently misread the Exchange. Sorry.)

This setup should be strong yet easy to make and try to find a charizard to get things going and if you do substitute it for a computer search.
