well since sandshrew left i have had no mentour to teach me how to build a decent rogue deck (without his ideas im nothing) so there was a deck e posted a couple months ago with a few tweeks...
ode to sandshrew: v2.0
pokemon: x18 x2 donphan x2 phanpy x2 forretress x2 pineco x2 hitmontop x3 tyrogue x2 elekid x2 cleffa x1 pichu (prommo #35)
trainers: x23 x4 professor elm x3 bill x2 trader x2 cpu search x2 time capsule x2 d. gust x2 switch x3 focus band x3 berry
NRG's: x19 x13 fighting x4 rainbow x2 metal
The main strat is the same as what it was in rocket sand's deck. You first stall with the babies and use cpu search trader and prommo pichus attack to get them out fast... Once you get them you power up and get out a donphan a foretres and a hitmontop... then you start with the rapid spins and the babie switching... realy it speaks for itself and is a realy sucessful deck hope you reply and give me some tips considering im taking this to a tournie this coming tuesday... thanks see ya.

I see the problem with evolution chain.I took out the pineco & forretress line to make you concentrate.Removing the chain means removing the need for Grass & Metal energy.
I change to 4 Phanpy & 3 Donphan.I add one Switch to finish off the empty spot.Change the removed energy(Grass & metal) to fighting energy.
I suggest you playtest it with as many deck as you can.Did it work?If not, tell me.Like Mindy Lambkee, did your Donphan hardly get attacked? [ November 06, 2002, 05:10 PM: Message edited by: Gyarados vision ]

Oh, Babyporter works (there's a league in WI that will attest to that). Taking out the Pineco line is probably a good idea-the typing just doesn't need to be that complicated.

Is it just me or is there a certain irony there?

If you go with the forretress, add at least 1/1 more. I run 3 Donphan & 4 forretress. Getting 3 out is complete prevention of double gust once they have a baby out -- double gust becomes, 'bring out the poke I tell you, then knock out the baby of your choice' (unless it has a metal nrg). Also, use the 'tackle' Pineco since its attack is 2 colorless.
If you skip the forretress, or just keep its level as is, consider Hitmonlee! Stretch kick can help you finish off pokes weakened with R/S & Spikes. The suprise is that when the Tyrogue stays upright through the counterattack, you drop 'lee and another fighting and ko something on the bench.
Ditch the CPU search (MF) a couple Prof. Oak's research. You really need draw to get this set up fast.

sauron the reason why i said that is because he is the one who made the first rogue deck i ever saw... and this is not a copy of his deck its actualy quit different... for instance he never had foretris.... and i dont think that he had the prommo pichu to get out the babys to complete the strat... any ways the cpu is there to help find the nrg pokemon i need and i put it in there because of it being in unlimited...
