Here's a little something that actually seems to have promise. Muk might be a problem as would Slowking, but it should be tweekable for either, and packs a whallop as is in early playtesting. on to the decklist

Fire and Ice
3 LC Charmander
2 Expedition Charmeleon
2 Exp. Zard (you know...the one that converts energy to fire...flip two to decide discard level...and packs 120HP of power)
4 Exp. Shelder
3 Exp. Cloyster (1st attack is nice...second is near-Kabutops in strength..4 flips-20X#of heads for 1W and 2C)
3 Cleffa
Ya see, the Cloyster is weak metal...the Zard
covers that weakness and can attack using water energy.
17 Pokes
3 Elm
3 Trader
2 Breeder
3 Bill's Maint.
3 Dbl Gust
3 Switch
3 Gold Berry
2 Focus Band
2 Energy Stadium
1 Time Cap.
25 Trainers
7 Fire
5 Water
4 Recycle
2 Full Heal
18 Energy
Seems to be lots of room for adaptations like Igglys and such. I've only played a half dozen matches w/it, but it works well. When Muk's about, try and get all fire on Zard and gust the Muk out and kill it. No Muk, try and get minimum of two recycles on the Zard. Playing fire, the Cloyster sweeps the floor.
Ideas/changes/variations/isolations/adaptations/homogonizations ALL welcome.

Hey Naut,

Nice to see another of your decks (and it's nice to be posting again). Let me offer you my take on this deck:

Red-Hot Ice: A Natural Complication?
Modified Format˛

Pokemon: 19
4 Shellder (Expedition)
3 Cloyster (Expedition)
3 Cleffa
3 Charmander (Expedition)
2 Charmeleon (LC)
2 Charizard (Expedition/Fire Whirlwind)
2 Pichu (Genesis)

Energy: 17
8 Water
6 Fire
3 Recycle

Trainers: 24
4 Professor Elm
3 Copycat
3 Gold Berry
3 Warp Point
2 Double Gust
2 Focus Band
2 Pokemon Breeder
2 Pokemon Trader
2 Energy Stadium
1 Time Capsule

There you are. What I did was get some Pichu in the deck to combat possible Entei/Cargo floods. You could sub in Magby until Entei/Cargo comes back. I would go with a higher Water count since Charizard changes any Energy attached to itself to Fire. However, I am not sure if you know that Charizard cannot change Recycle into Fire, because its power only works on Basic Energy. I left the Recycle in anyways, for retreat aid. But if you take them out, add 2 Full Heal and a Water. I basically changed around your drawing a little bit. I like Copycat over Maintenance.

This is an interesting deck, good luck with it.

As you could tell I was under the impression that all energy was converted to fire. Just shows you how much I scrutinize that small print.lol. Thanks for the reply Jim...
Oh yah..am gonna keep the switch over the warp you suggest. I do see what manipulation the warps offer, but ya cannot use a warp effectively in combo with Double Gust to get that benched Muk or Slowking out and KO it. Also, if I was gonna add Pichus to the deck (doncha think Cloyster with a band can take on a Encargo?) I'd want to go to 4 Gold Berry to slap on the Zard to keep him outta trouble.

Any chance of seeing you at York anytime soon?
