I have just been able to create my first deck, I'm not sure of the exact rules and regulations but I think I got a pretty good psychic deck, let me know what you think please!

Energy:
25 psychic energy
1 double colorless energy
3 full heal energy
Pokemon:
1 sabrina's gastly
3 gastly
3 haunter
4 mewtwo
4 dratini
2 dragonair
1 dragonite
1 mr mime
Trainers:
4 energy retrieval
1 super energy retrieval
1 defender
1 gust of wind
1 clefairy doll
1 imposter professor oak
2 super potion
1 balloon berry
Strategy:
Mewtwo's barrier blocks all efects of attack, so as long as I do that move I can never be touched, thus making the opponet run out of cards. However, everytime I use this move I need to discard one energy card so I would run out of energy, thus the energy retrievals. But before I could run him out of cards I would still be short on energy. So I save that until later. I use my gastly's destiny bond to take out three pokemon. Then I pull out my sabrina's gastly. 40 hp start off and an additional 10 for every energy card attached. It also deals out 30 damage and has no weakness or retreat cost. Use that to take out what I can. Using my defender and super potions to heal along with full heal energy in case I get in trouble. Then pull out dratini if I need anyback up, evolve him to do some extra damage, which also has no weakness. By then my opponent with probably only have a couple cards in his hand. Make him draw seven with my imposster professor oak, and then widdle him away with the mewtwo strategy. And if for any reason they get a power house on my mewtwo, I bring out gust of wind and defeat one of the easy ones. If I get in trouble again, attach my balloon berry to my mewtwo, throw out my clefairy doll, and power mewtwo up a bit? How can I make it work, and how can I make it better?

Welcome [Smile] . I'm short on time at the moment but I'll probably be back to help you at some point. Just one note right now: Barier only applies to speacial conditions (poison, cunfusion, etc.), not damage.

Thanx for checking my strategy. Mewtwo card says "Discard 1 psychic energy card attached to Mewtwo in oreder to use this attack. During your opponet's next turn, prevent all effects of attack, including damage done to Mewtwo." So has there been a new ruling on the card? or am I using it wrong, hit me back and let me know please.

Back to the older cards can prevail! Good deck Lance, but be careful about the Dragons, they have to wait for at least 3 Energy before they could use a useful attack, and Psychic Pokémon from those sets tend to be a bit weak on the damage side. A Stall deck, its great - Dragonite's 100HP and Mewtwo/Mr.Mime's Barriers, but if its an offensive, I suggest Psychic isn't the type.

Aipom.

Aipom is a Monkey Pokémon. It swings from tree to tree. It is cute, but if threatened it will not hesitate to use its Hyper Beam to annihilate the threat. Aipom works well with its cousin, Mankey. They battle side by side in most confrontations.
