Update the evo lines here. If this is MMF, then you can't have anything from before Neo, I think. Add another sneasel, and update the Eeveelutions to light flareon and light jolteon. You may also want to throw in a couple more Focus Band in there, too. Try that.

I looked at the cards you have choosen
carefully. First, if you really want an electric
and fire deck, please look at my posting under:
Deck Help and Strategy>The need for speed-a quest
I have a really neat deck there that is cheap
to make and will confound a lot of people.

Next let's look at the cards you have chosen.
Dark Quilava best attack says:
"Rushing Magma" discard the top 5 cards of your
deck...This attack does 20 damage for each FIRE
energy card that you discard in this manner.

Read the Rainbow energy card:
Rainbow energy counts as every type only
while it is in play. (In play means it is sitting
on the table attached to a pokemon.)
You cannot "Raindance" with this card,
because it is in your hand not on the
table. You cannot have Light Flareon search
for this card because it is in your deck,
not on the table.
Rainbow energy tossed away from the deck
to the discard pile adds nothing to this
attack because Rainbow energy is not
counted as fire energy in either the
deck or the discard pile.
You have 6 Fire energy in your deck, if you
use Rushing Magma your attack will look like
this: zero damage or 20 damage most all the
time. Is this a bad pokemon, of course not!
THIS CARD JUST BELONGS IN AN ALL FIRE DECK
Dark Typhlosion is the same way-this card
was designed for an all fire deck.
Read its best attack:
"Rushing Flames" "You may discard any number
of FIRE energy cards attached to [ANY OF] your
pokemon. Flip a coin for each one...."
Yes, that means you can toss fire energy
off your bench pokemon too! I took me
a while to discover that little point.
Most of your pokemon are going to wearing
dark or electric energy. This time Rainbow
energy will help you add to the attack,
you can discard the rainbow energy as fire
because it is on the table.

Try Dark Typhlosion with Light Flareon
in an all fire deck. You could even use
Pokemon Personality Test in your deck then.

Don't despair-you want an electric/fire deck,
I'll help you out. The Preconstructed Deck
"LAVA" has the Legendary Collection Charizard
lineup. All 3 of these pokemon can attack with
only electric energy attached to them:
Charmander-"Scratch" 10 (neutral energy)
Charmeleon-"Slash" 30 (neutral energy)
Charizard-"Fire Spin" 100
This attack takes all Fire energy, but look at
Chariazard's Pokemon Power:
"As often as you like during your turn...
you may turn ALL ENERGY ATTACHED TO
CHARIZARD INTO FIRE ENERGY..."
Big stuff!!!!
120 hp and it can change energy into fire!!
It even comes in a Preconstructed Deck!!!
So go buy the "LAVA" deck and replace
the Typhlosion lineup with a Charizard
lineup.
{Thank you, Wizards for putting a nonholo
Charizard (Base Set type) in every "LAVA"
Preconstucted Theme Deck.}

Next, I would also pick up a few booster packs of
Neo 4 from the store as well. Light Flareon
and Light Jolteon are much better than Dark
Flareon and Dark Jolteon. They also come in
the same set [Neo 4] as Shining Charizard.
Shining Charizard needs electric and fire
energy so it would be ideal for this deck.
Perhaps, you could trade for these cards.

Dark Flareon, Dark Jolteon, Sneasel, Gust
and Switch are all not legal in the Modified
format. So here we again come to a big
choice: New Modified or Unlimited?

Unlimited means you can play any card
Wizards has made.

New Modified (starting in September) means
everyone is playing only from Cards out
of the sets Neo and everything afterward.
This is Neo 1 to 4, Southern Islands, all
Promo cards, Legendary Collection, and any
new cards.
Don't despair about the Gym sets you cannot
play any more. Wizards is thinking about all
these things. They are smarter than we give
them credit for. By the way, if you have a
card such as Base Set Charizard, you can
use it in tournament play because it is
the same card as the Legendary Charizard.
You don't really have to buy LC to benefit
from it, though a few of those Reverse Holos
look mighty cool in your collection.
Also a promo card makes any nonpromo card
with the same writing legal [different picture
does not matter]. And Rainbow energy Promo
holo made ALL RAINBOW ENERGY CARDS LEGAL.

Sit down with your friends and talk about
making two deck groups:
Unlimited and New Modified.
It's fun to change how you make decks.
It's also helpful to know your Charizard
will not get hit by energy removal when it
is almost ready to attack when you are
playing new modified.

Eevee Promo (Keep this card, it will be
handy for a very long time)
Eevee Neo 2 (Don't trade these 2 Eevees away
for anything. This card is really good.)
Charizard is going to be useful for a
very, very long time now that LC is
out. To make Charizard even more effective
add a Time Capsule (after Charizard faints
put Charizard and some energy back into
the deck from the discard pile.)

If you only have a few Cleffa Neo, move them
from one deck to another. That way you will
only need 4 of those very important support
cards I listed below because you can move
them from one deck to another. That is
what I do:
Gold Berry
Focus Band
Cleffa Neo (Promo Cleffa does not do the same
thing.)
Pokemon Trader
Pokemon Breeder
Bill
Professor Elm
Double Gust
These cards belong in MOST decks you
build so you can move your support trainers
from one deck to another. There are other
good trainers and some decks have to be
designed very differently because of
their unique strategy.

I think of Trainer cards like this:
Ash has a certain amount of pokemon in his
deck-that is represented by the amount of
POKEMON in your deck.
They have a certain amount of strength-that
is represented by the amount of ENERGY in
your deck.
The TRAINER cards represent what YOU CAN DO
FOR YOUR POKEMON. The more you help your
pokemon the stronger they become.
Ash saying "Hang in there, Pikachu" is
the same as us putting a Focus Band on
our Pikachu...

if i were to take the electric type from this deck, i think i can make this deck stronger. i should also NOT focus on stage 2 evolutions, even stage 1 evolutions, due to the fact of the lily pad mew. so, without the electric deck, i can remove rainbow energies, and the sneasel. i can probaly add in an arcanine with a houndoom, but what pokemon is a strong BASIC pokemon, that can attack fast and can sustain lots of hits?
