Yeah...I was looking at stuff that would make a cool MMF deck...and...well just look:
4 Chinchou - NR 3 Lanturn - NR 4 Cleffa - NG 3 Magmar - NG 1 Shining Charizard - Clean, and Impress newbies
6 Lightning Energy - Fuel for Lanturn + Zard 9 Fire Energy - Fuel For Magmar + Zard
4 Elm 4 William 4 Trader 4 William's Teleporter 4 DGoW 3 Energy Stadium 4 Focus Band 1 Time Capsule - Hopefully they'll be playing one too. 2 Exp. All - Still Experimenting, but I like it.
Anyway, I was super-impressed by the coolness of NR lanturn. Submerge lets me pick on water weak fire, while not submerging lets me pick on lightning weak water. NG Magmar fits well, because I needed something to hit steelix, big grass, and just be solid against anything else. Lanturn only needs 1 L energy really...so I can play mostly fire...and Shining Zard is there because I can only do 40 damage w/o him, and if I'm up against fighting, which can be a pain, his resistance + energy stadium should help me get a few prizes.
It's still VERY experimental...but looks promising...any fixes? [ May 19, 2002, 12:32 PM: Message edited by: Rocket's Sandshrew ]

Actually...looks cool. I like the idea of Lanturn to cover both weaknesses... Try it out, see what happens.

looks nice, but Bill's Teleporter? . YUCK! Ditch it for Miracle Energy, a Time Capsule, and Breeder fields.... maybe something else. What'm I saying? ANYTHING else. Jeez.=/.

Dark Duck, Thankx...I will...should be interesting.
Pyrokenesis, I hate flips as much as the next guy, no...screw that...I hate flips twice as much as the next guy, but teleporter's just in there b/c I need more drawing (Even if it is flippy. Yuck.). I tried mary, but it often worked like this:
Draw two, decide you dont' want either of them, and shuffle 'em back in.
So 4 Teleporters yeilds 8 cards on average, same as bill...I guess until I come up with something better, I'm stuck with the flip. =/
Anybody got anything to add?

it is cool having Lanturn cover both weaknesses. u got a good deck here.
anywayz, how bout instead of Bill's Teleporter, try Mail From Bill, if it works better. i like Mail From Bill coz u use it exactly when u have little cards in ur hand, one of the most crucial times to be drawing cards.
Shining Charizard is good, but i prefer Shining Raichu more (a Shining that actually does good damage with no drawbacks)
-------------------- that was my 2 cents. don't steal it or anything, it's just 2 cents, nothing more...

Stick with William's Porter, Brad even though you hate flips and top decks you get lucky most of the time.
Please don't post in all capital letters, it's the equivalent to shouting. Thanks. [ May 20, 2002, 02:02 PM: Message edited by: BJJ763 ]

I might add miracle energy, if I had more than one guy who could use it...but I'd really hate to add tecH to my tecH...you know?
I'll rarely use zard, maybe once every few games...I'd hate to have a miracle energy I can't use sitting in my hand.

You have Shining Charizard? You are so lucky. ::Has all Shining's except Mewtwo, Kabutops, and Charizard:: Anyways, I like your deck. It looks pretty well rounded. Too bad it has to be modified. If it weren't modified, Fossil Magmar would be a great stall while you built up your Shining to kick some royal B-hind. Add in Gold Berries if possible, those will help you so much. Anyways good luck.

Wow...people seem to be more impressed with the zard than the deck.
I've played the deck a few times now, the only losses have been to crobat (No weaknesses I can pick on, and free retreat = Bad for me.) and a lucky dark gengar player...
....anything else?

Yeah...I like 4 cleffa, cuz drawing is more limited in MMF...it helps compensate for the loss of misty's wrath.
...and NR lanturn has a power...and I'd rather not fry it with pichus.
thankx anyway...
anybody else?

oopsys...sorry 'bout that...hehe....anyway...yeah, drawing is limited. trainers in MMF decks are lowering in numbers(or at least in my deck) bcuz of wrath's tradgic loss. Still, this is what brough gatr down. Also, this brings the pokemon number up because of cleffa, so try magby then for a tech. although drawing is limited, 2 or 3 cleffa should work good anyway.
