Author Topic: do you think this would work in a tournament? the banff Member Member # 75858 posted April 19, 2002 01:50 PM             I have my doubts, but since i dont have that many better pokemon, and besides, its not a big tournament anyway. since thaere are too many water and fire decks out there this is what i came up with: Hydroelectric pkmn 18 3 misty's poliwag (callenge) 1 misty's poliwag (heroes) 3 misty's poliwhirl (heroes) 4 chinchou (NG) 4 lanturn (ng) 1 cleffa 1 igglibuff 1 magby 2 elekid trainers 23 2 erika 3 elms 1 sabrina's gaze 1 lucky stadium 2 ngr 1 super energy retrieval 3 moo moo 2 gold berry 2 IOR 3 double gusts 3 focus bands energy 19 11 water 8 electric I was already thinking to remove iggli for a pichu and if i can get my hands on them, 2 breeder fields for the impostor oaks any suggestions appreciated, as long as the deck is not radically changed (keep in mind that i dont have anything after neo genesis and of what i have, nothing is that great) [ April 19, 2002, 01:52 PM: Message edited by: the banff ] -------------------- Age is a matter of the mind if you don't mind it doesn't matter!! You're deck now has all the pokes capable of this (or at least the common ones). Tyrogue, E Bell, and M Poliwag all wield this power. Let me set the scene (forgive me if you've already been informed ): You're opponent start with one Pokemon, anything. Let's say cleffa; you find an E Bell, attach a Darkness Energy. "Careless Tackle," you roll the die... 4!!! You've just knocked out Cleffa to win the game! You can do this to 40+ HP Pokemon with Tyrogue, Poliwag, Darkness Energy, and Misty. P.S. But I wouldn't count on it to win you a tornement!! What I would do is add some Mistys polliwrath to the deck and add some berries and gold berries. Do you have at least two darkness enegey if so I would think about throughing in a senesal not for the tornement but just for fun!! If you don't have these cards why don't you try feraligator or blastoise Rain Dance! Good Luck at the Tornement! But when Lanurn comes out there's no need for Lightning Energy and that there accounted for 16 cards... I was having a hard time thinking of stuff to put in, I took out so much . Sorry. But what I did was strengthen the deck. Every deck needs 3 Cleffa (give or take 1 depending on the rest of the deck. I added some Pichu that he wanted, and gave him more draw power.
