Aight, before I start I gotta give credit to Johnny Blaze for coming up with this idea. I saw it and thought, "oo, that could really work." k00l deck man.

-Pokemon
4 Promo Psyduck
4 Light Golduck
4 Slowpoke
4 Slowking
3 Cleffa
2 Murkrow
2 Tyrogue
-Trainers
4 Professor Elm
4 Bill
4 Double Gust
4 Focus Band
3 Balloon Berry
2 Broken Ground Gym
-Energy
6 Psychic
4 Rainbow
3 Darkness
3 Recycle

Stick a 'duck out there with a band to start with and headache until you've got 2 or so Slowkings up. Total trainer denial. After the slowkings are up, you can have some real fun with Murkrow and Tyrogue [Devilish]

Hey thanks for the props Super Space Guy. I am really trying hard to fit in Pokemon Trader. I dont really like running Darkness eneegy but it is additional damage with Krow instead of the Rainbow. With the new 2 out of 3 format at he Worlds I am also trying to fit in a Time Capsule or 2. If you dont want to run the Darkness and speed up the deck then add 4 Pokemon Traders. That will ensure that Slowkings get out and also the Light Golduck will be set up after a turn 2 Headache. This will be crucial for all the Entei Howl all your energy on RK9, Magcargo, Ninetails, you choose which Fire Pokemon to trade for. By denying their trainers especially Trader in an Entei deck that can certainly spell a second or 3rd turn Doom for Fire decks.

Ae you going to Worlds in August?

I played dark/light golduck/king at the Columbus GC. The strategy with the gym & recycle is cool. Psyduck can be a frustrating stall but baby's can stop it. As far as the rest of the deck, here are my rules of thumb for slowking decks. I try to stay with 22 or less pokes in king. I have played up to 25, but it forces me to drop critical trainers and nrg. For pokes I always play 4/4 on king, 2-3 cleffa, and like a big hitter with a 80 or higher HP and an attack 3 or less nrg for 50 or more damage. Big, strong basics in an evo chain are a plus. Then I play support pokes to defend weaknesses, provide status, or freak with my opponents mind! I like to play zero retreat cost support pokes. They add flexibility to your double gust strategy in a king deck. I prefer to play the following set of trainers in a MMF king deck
4 elm
4-6 bill/trader mix
4-6 band/gold berry mix
3-4 double gust
3-4 balloon berry
1-2 gym of choice
2 poke center
1 time capsule
I play 23-27 trainers in king decks. I compromise the trainer set above based on number of pokemon and nrg requirements of attacking pokemon. People bash me for using pokecenter. It makes me chuckle. It works wonders against a banded pichu. Let em zap 3 times, pokecenter! I normally do not power up king so i do not loose nrg. Sometimes i make an unpowered king active, let the opponent pound king, poke center, stall, build something on the bench, and then double gust or balloon berry and attack. I play between 12 and 16 nrg with king. The amount, once again, depends on the deck streatgy.

Now, back to your deck. Light golduck is good against steel and dark and ok against fire. You only need 3. 16 nrg is a little high. i would go
8 Psychic
4 Darkness
3 Recycle
That buys u 2 slots. You could put in a promo or lc mewtwo, a sneasal, smeargle, or a pokecenter or trader. You might want to try LC slowpoke. For 2 psy, you can take a trainer out of your discard pile.
