Strategy: well get a Crobat fast as possible and just do some damage and Scyther and Tyrogue as back up and Sneasel is a tech card i just like to annoy the opponent with it [ May 31, 2003, 07:55 PM: Message edited by: WizPog_BJJ ]

-3 Gold Berry +3 Moo-Moo Milk
Why Moo-Moo Milk? Gold Berry is far too risky. You must attach Gold Berry and use it in a timely manner. If the Pokémon it's attached to is Knocked Out, it's wasted. If you don't believe me, then you may want to hear out Master Trainer Mike: quote: From MTM's "Thread the Weedle" Deck Check article, 8/8/2001 What most people forget, however, is that if a Pokémon with Gold Berry attached is Knocked Out in 1 attack, the Gold Berry was a wasted card.
Now do you see why I don't recommend Gold Berry? [ May 31, 2003, 12:15 PM: Message edited by: Carrington388 ]

Why can't the Cleffa's be from Neo Genesis? MMF includes all 4 Neo expansions...

The trick is then, Carrington, to only use Gold Berry when your Pokemon isn't likely to be knocked out while it's still attached. It's perfect for those high HP Pokes (100 or more), but a savvy player can realize when it's likely to be effective. I also think the psychological impact of attaching a Gold Berry is important. My opponent knows it's going to take 40 additional HP or a very powerful attack to knock my guy out. You don't get that with Moo-moo.
Moo-moo, I believe, is the card that's far too risky. You never know if you're going to get 40, 20, or zero healing. One time out of four, then, it is a wasted card. Potion is a better healer than Moo-moo. At least you know you're always going to get the 20.
It doesn't seem to me that MTM Mike is saying to never use Gold Berry, but just to be smart about when you use it. Don't attach it to a Totodile, sure, but slap the big berry on Gatr and blast away with assurance.
