After watching Spectreon's Lightnin Cube deck with Babies, and losing to it, I start looking over cards to give it my own twist. Low and behold Aquapolis Lanturn (Water Version) fell out of my binder and here is the deck:

There is a Strange Power in the Water

Pokemon 20
4 Voltorb (2 #64, 2 #115 Swift for 40 to electric weak pokes turn 1 is awesome!!)
3 Electrode (Aq)
2 Doduo (LC)
2 Dodrio (LC for Obvious PP Abuse of Electrode)
3 Chinchou (Aq #70 Gotta Love the Float attack)
2 Lanturn (Aq #20 Conduction is an Awesome Attack)
2 Elekid
2 Zapdos (LC)

Trainers 26
3 Bill
2 Elm
3 Forest Guardian
3 Breeder Fields
3 New Pokedex
3 Pokemon Center
4 Double Gust
3 Lightning Cube
2 Broken Ground Gym

Energy 14
14 Electric

Lanturn's Conduction Attack does the same as Lightning Cube but starts on 30 before flipping. So let's figure the damage real quick:

3C Conduction 30+
Discard all L Energy Cards attached to Lanturn. Flip a number of coins equal to the number of L Energy cards you discarded. This attack does 30 damage plus 40 more damage for each heads.

Ok! Whoa Nelly! So for 3 L attached and 3 Heads flips, we are talkin 30+40+40+40= 150!!!!
Why is this card not being used more..true the combo is difficult to pull off. But the Trainers I am playing actually work rather well in this. Especially using New Pokedex. What you say...that is a waste. Not really..2 advantages. You know what your next five cards will be and you can put them in the order you need them in.
Use electrodes power and see how many heads you get, then New pokedex to arrange the next 5 cards. Not enough energy stack one on top to get that third or fourth one. Need to heal and just hit their poke for a KO, make sure that center is your next card out.
And I know thqt Tyrogue can have a field day right...and Muk, oh yeah Pichu oWnZ Joo right....wrong...Get Zappy out for rogue and pichu goes Bye Bye with a good flip and Swift from Electrode. Will play test this more, but any comments and tweaks are welcome...Thanks in Advanced!!

#1 ya you lost [Devilish] (thanx for the Steelix trade, only C Lugia to go)

#2 I htink one of those Water Lanturns fell outta my binder in trade. [Evil Smirk]

#3 Swift will not do 40, read Swifts text (Do not apply Weakness or Resistance.... ) [Frown]

#4 After losing to Dana's (whose was awfully simular to my original idea with Neo 3 Richu) I think you should drop 1 Voltorb and 1 Chinchou for another Dodou and Dodrio. His 3 and my 2 is what cost me the game.

#5 This deck really needs an Energy Stadium late in the game. Using the Electrodes, then attaching one from your hand just gives you 1 more energy. Drop 1 Broken Ground for 1 Energy Stadium.

#6 I would also (because I did for my deck) drop 2 Elctric for 2 Warp

#7 Drop Forest Gardian for Juggler. FG and Pokedex can work well together, how, use Pokedex, dont like what you see, use FG, shuffle, draw 7/choose 1, reshuffle. But Juggler can get an early discard for Electrode, and draw 3-5

#8 What is up with you and no Cleffa's. How can you not use this little guy!!! [Love] [bow] I would say drop 3 of these 4: 1 Breeder Feild, 1 Double Gust, 1 Forest Gaurdian/Juggler, or 1 Pokedex. Add in 2 Cleffa's and 1 Aipom with Pilfer (If you need 1 of those cards back from the discard, he is your man). Well, make it all 4 so you can add in 1 Towns Volunteers, or 1 Time Capsule (whichever you have)

there you go, 8 tips/advice for you. Maybe I will get a rematch on Sat? Or maybe it is a trick to set you up against Muk (probly not though, I cant decide what to put in it.)

--------------------
To evolve, treat Eevee poorly, when it hates your guts, let it get ko'ed in th night while holding Spell Tag. PS, if it gets ko'ed outin the day, then it will die, go visit its grave in Soul House of Lavender, next to Fuji

Ok, ok...here is the revamped version-Rioc--I mean Spectreon [Wink]

There is a Strange Power in the Water

Pokemon 22
3 Voltorb (2 #64, 1 #115)
3 Electrode (Aq)
3 Doduo (LC)
3 Dodrio (LC for Obvious PP Abuse of Electrode)
3 Chinchou (Aq #70 Gotta Love the Float attack)
2 Lanturn (Aq #20 Conduction is an Awesome Attack)
2 Elekid
2 Zapdos (LC)
1 Aipom

Trainers 26
2 Bill
2 Elm
3 Juggler
2 Forest Guardian
2 Breeder Fields
2 New Pokedex
3 Pokemon Center
4 Double Gust
2 Lightning Cube
1 Town Volunteer
2 Broken Ground Gym

Energy 13
13 Electric

Ok, I took some of your advice and then twisted it to some of my gut, it is big one, on how I like playing and came up with this version.

I dont play Cleffa Much any more do to the general dislike of the overuse of the card and also trying to get used to playing without it in case they roatate out. I know that some of the cards in here are from the sets, but that is my twist to decks...find cards no one uses much and toss em in. So new comments....Oh yeah, I do have a Muk/ Muk deck as well, so would be fun to play...
