Name: Josh... I am known as Mewtwo, SMT, and Spymewtwo...
Location: USA, Tennessee around Murfreesboro and Smyrna
Age:15. I will be 16 in December on the 14th.
Info: I am the assistant Gym Leader at Books-A-Million in Murfreesboro, TN. My AIM is SuperSpymewtwo and E-Mail is [email protected]
Events: Played at Gym Challenge in Nashville (the side events). For Gameboy I Attended the '99 Summer and Nintindo Tours accross the state of Tennessee and I won every battle, an achievement I am happy to say I accomplished (even won a few nice keepsakes)...
Sets Completed: Base, Jungle, and All of promo so far. That is it, and I am only missing a couple cards from each set...
Other "jobs": I make sprites for a comic (I can not list the site)it does put more cards in my collection either... I have to wait almost a year to even get enough to get a single box so I will be behind a little with each set(thank goodness or trading).. I saved up enough to get one box of Aquapolis so I am at least happy about that
Status: considered a "normal player" although I have been playing ever since Base set came out... [ November 29, 2002, 08:49 AM: Message edited by: SuperSpymewtwo ]

Played since: Just before Jungle. Would've been sooner but i resisted getting into Pokémon. Then cracked, raced to Matteson's and bought their last 2 player Starter.
Cards purchased per release: Currently running 3 cases + per release (18 boxes). In addition, at least 1 of every theme deck (for latest rule book and in the case of Expediton, to get the Basic Energy Cards for the collections). I'm also a sucker for "bargains" so i'll be going to KB Toys tomorrow and check out the $0.88 boosters (yeah i know it's Base - Gym: Challenge but can use them for tournament prizes and/or booster drafts) and to Newbury Comics because i found they've reduced Expedition to $1.99 so i'll stock up for prize support and/or booster drafts. Someone talk me out of this please....
Attended: Mall Tour - brought everyone. ECSTS2000 - could not play as wife and i were unofficial League members so watched our boys play. Boston Qualifier 2001 - took my boys to it. Played in 15+ event. Really didn't do so hot. ECSTS2001 - played. Did ok in my first real tourny. MBI2 - which made my weekend. WCSTS2001 - Invited to help Judge. Boston Qualifier 2002 - Head Judge 10 & Under. Worlds - Invited to help Judge.
collection: 3 sets of Base, Base 2, LC, RH LC, Expedition (regular), Black Starred Promos, various other promos, Southern Islands and 1st ed. in all sets except Base. About half dozen cards away from 3 sets of RH Expedition. Also 3 sets of Japanese Base through Genesis and various promos. Partial sets of Neo 2 through E-card 2.

Lost count as to how many cards I've bought, never bought boxes, only packs, precon decks, and singles. Found several cards just lying around, received a few as gifts... Haven't been to any sanctioned events. Never GL'ed. Never TO'ed. Never judged. Never played in a tournament of any kind or format. Just taught, mentored, educated, and played in the League. I don't collect whole sets, I'm only aiming to get one card for every pokemon. I do own at least 20 cards from each set. I have a 5-year old niece whom I am currently instructing on how to play the game.

Name: Philip McKinney
Age: 15 (but I dont act it or sound like it)
Status: Professor in Florida. Head Judge for several tournaments, one Gym Challange. GymLeader for Year One, Two, and Victory road at local Toys R Us. Webdesigner, Writer, and Contriubter to Pojo.com's Pokemon site. Featured in Pojo's Pokemon and Other Cool Stuff (last issue). Administrator at Pojo's Message Board. Webmaster of (soon to be full of content) PokemonFlorida.com.
Played since: Just after Jungle and before Fossil released (Fall 1999). Went to local Toys R Us due to traffic on the highway to waste some time. Found the Pokemon TCG League being organized for the first day. Helped set up tables and purchased a Gift Starter Set along with several Jungle boosters.
Cards purchased per release: I have purchased one box (36 boosters) these sets:
- Base Set
- Jungle
- Fossil
- Team Rocket
- Neo Genesis
- Legendary Collection
- Expedition
The rest I have mostly bought a few packs and traded for what I needed. I do have quite a number of promotional cards however, way too many De-evolution beam Mews... Attended: Poke Tour 1999 when it was in Orlando with mother, sister, friend, and his family. I've been to every single Pokemon Qualifier here in Florida, from Ft. Lauderdale to Orlando for events like the several ECSTS and WCSTS. I judged Gym Challange Orlando 2002 and sat on the sidelines for Origins last summer where I got to meet a whole bunch of people. I'm really not used to going outside of Florida for Pokemon.. no Worlds or Super Trainer Showdown Finals for me. I played out of state when I was 15, so I missed my chance, if any.
Collection: One Base Set, One Jungle, One Fossil, One Neo Genesis, One Legendary Collection, One Expedition, Black Starred Promos, amd various other promos including all of the prerelease (cept for Raichu) and W stamped cards. Some other cards from smaller sets like Team Rocket, Gym Challange, Gym Heroes, Neo Destiny, Neo Discovery, Neo Revelations.
Why I am I professor? I'm a Professor because of the mismanagment of the ECSTS 2001 Qualifiers in Orlando and Nationally. Magic Primere Organizers were assigned to do a Pokemon Event: BAD Idea. I was in the top four and the judge did not give to correct procedure to handle my opponent using a foreign card (which should be replacing it with an energy at the time). I lost and swore to help judge at Ft. Lauderdale event which this Primere TO also had. Afterwards I discovered the Magic Certified Judge Program and since that point, have been trying to get something similar for our TOs and Head Judges. So then the Professor Program was created, although also holding 15+ players, offered a great service to those who do the dirty work of organizing with LITTLE or NO credit. -Phil

Gym Leader since Year 1, still a little fuzzy about tournament running, but am getting the hang of it. Master Professor? Maybe by the end of next summer, end of next year at the most.
Pokeholic-I have been and always will be.
Purchasing Power(Hey! maybe in the future a Meowth can have this for a Pokemon Power name, what do you say???): I buy whenever I can, not as much as the others fanatics, but I do what I can with what I got and earn.
Where I have been in Pokemon lately: Last major event I've been to was Origins 2002 and plan on attending 2003 and GenCon 2003. Worlds is mostly "no", but miracles happen.
I've been a fan ever since I was introduced to it by a very good friend of mine and have liked it ever since. I don't care what ANYONE says, the game's still alive and well. As long as there's players, the game carries on. I'm a hardcore gamer and I will remain loyal to this game until the end. FireFighters never give and never surrender and I will never abandon this game. The people are great, I like it too much and it's a good excuse to travel(at least I think so).

Name - Gary Olsen aka UtahPokeDad Status - Professor, although since I've never bothered with a DCI#, I've probably been removed.
Cards purchased - I've been buying 1 to 2 boxes per release depending upon the size of the set (but after only getting 9 foils in each of the Neo Destiny boxes, I won't be buying as much from here on out).
Collected 2 entire sets from Base1 up through Neo Destiny for my 8 and 10 year old sons. We won't be collecting any more sets, although there will be 1 box of Expedition under the christmas tree to go along with the e-Reader for GBA.
League/Tournaments - Assisted the gym leader while my boys attended the local league for part of year 2 until the store discontinued mid-year.
I'm failing to see the point in this thread. I've bought boxes in the past and will continue to buy boxes as long as my boys continue their interest in pokemon and Wizards continues with a desirable product.

Well - I had hoped this thread would not get into any discussion but I'll make an exception because this is so important. The issue is that 15+ group is an important part of Pokemon OP and should be recognized as such. Unfortunately that crowd has gotten a bad rap from a few that decided that vitriol and ranting were the preferred method of making their thoughts known to WotC. So what it boils down to is that a business understands $$$ and numbers. So the 15+ rollcall is to provide a thread whereby the 15+ players (and professors) can make themselves known as well as what they mean in $$$ to Hasbro/WotC. In this way we may be able to do something constructive to get 15+ back in the big events.
PS - I used to live in Ogden for about 8 years. University of Weber is my Alma Mater.

Age: 42 years old
Years Playing: My son Spencer was just learning to read when the Beta version of League started. We went. We traded. We learned to play. Seems like yesterday, but it's been almost 4 years now. Spencer is now 8.
Involvement level: Am a Master Professor and GL at York Comics and Cards in Parma Ohio. I have been either TO or Head Judge at many many tournaments there, but have never judged (yet) at a major event. Will soon be a BZone delegate and running BZone santioned events at York and possibly elsewhere.
Major Events attended: ECSTS (including the MBI2), The CSC and Origins last year where I bombed badly in the draft event. Have also been to every Ohio GC so far
Playing Level: I am a better player than I usually play. I am easily distracted and often make stupid mistakes. Part of my problem is my habit of playing stupid (but original!)rogue decks that look good on paper, do well in playtesting, but then fall just a bit short when facing a player who is sporting a tweaked Archetype and not making mistakes (there are a LOT of these players at York). I maintain a DCI rank around 1750-1800 and have done as well as placing second last year at the Columbus Ohio GC in the 15+ side event.
Amount of cards purchased: Minimum of one box of each new release, and followed by continual single pack purchases to supplement the demand for the 10-12 decks Spencer and I usually have built.
Greatest accomplishment: Being a part of bringing my son into this world and into this great game. We have had a blast for the most part.
Outlook for the game's future: Hopeful but cautious because of recent events and licensing deadline. It is time for WotC to make a firm stand as far as offering support to players older than 14 who do not want to be involved in the Professor Program. Their funds need to be diverted slightly to offer support to an age group that continues to buy their product. I love the idea of the Prof. Program and will continue to participate, but I am 42 and have an 8yr old son who loves the game. I remember what it was like to be 16 and always going for the throat in everything I did. Competition is part of growing up. This is not Japan.

Played since: I started playing when Fossil came out, and joined the League at the Game Keeper were my playing skills took off for the better.
Cards purchased per release: Not as much as some and more than others. I work full-time, go to school full-time, and have a family to support, so it just depends on the funds at the time of the release.
Greatest thing I have done: Got 9th place at the WCSTS in 2000 on the Queen Mary. Also got together with other Professors in the area to start the SLC Professor group, which has been fun meeting and playing with all of them.
Collection: I have a binder will all of the set in it, and I currently have over 25K card, all cataloged on how many of each card, 1st & Unlimited, of each set that I own.
Future: I have not had much time to play Pokemon lately because I am spending more time trying to finish up this last couple of semesters so I can finish my degree. Look forward to the new year, and getting the Salt Lake City area rocking with Battle Zone, also hopefully Wizards will let us Professors put on and run the Challenge tournament in this area this time, because for the most part we ran it last year since the TO didn’t know much about how Pokemon is played, and we have been running a lot of tournaments this year, so we know what we are doing. NAME - Chris Boutcher
RESIDENCE - Orange County, California
STATUS - Master Professor; Tournament Judge for Worlds 2002, Head Judge (11-14) West Coast Stadium Challenge 2002, Tournament Judge (15+) East & West Super Trainer Showdowns 2001; assistant to Gym Leader, Pokemon League Year 1 (TRU League); Team Compendium rulings editor; PokeGym Moderator; and all-around nice guy.
PLAYED SINCE - Just before Jungle. My daughter got caught up in the TV show first and started collecting the cards. I said, "hey let's learn how to play the game", and we were hooked from then on.
ATTENDED - Five "Mall tours" (2 for GameBoy/Pokemon Stadium, STS East & West Qualifiers 2001 & 2002, and the "Pokemon 1st Anniversary Celebration" in Burbank); West Coast Super Trainer Showdown 2000 (on the Queen Mary); member of five separate Pokemon Leagues over the past three years (DarkStar & HB Comics RIP ); countless tournaments around the SoCal area.
CARDS PURCHASED PER RELEASE - Um, let's just say "more than I care to tell my wife about" . Minimum of at least one box per release, typically more.
COLLECTION - Not as great as some, but I do have complete 1stEd collections of all releases except Base, Jungle, Neo:Destiny, and the current Expedition set. Very few Japanese cards ("Buy American!" ).
OUTLOOK ON THE FUTURE - Some see Pokemon in a decline at the moment, and for some strange reason that's almost to be expected during the holiday season. But BattleZone, Aquapolis, and next year's Challenge Series are on the way. So hang in there and let's plan on 2003 being yet another great year for Pokemon.
