If only Genesis and Discovery are dropped, Cargo will reign supreme, for the most part. Just like MF1 was Gatr/Anti-Gatr, MF3, in that case, would be Cargo/Anti-Cargo.

Cargo hasn't really needed Cleffa in the first place. All the other decks lose speed EXCEPT this one.

Cargo loses its fear of Pichu. Since there's no Slowking, WotC won't feel as much of a need to reprint Pichu (I'm praying that they don't, and that Revelations is NOT eliminated.) With that, the only thing Cargo has to fear are water decks. Heck, it may not even need to fear the Double Gust! Everyone will have to run 4 Pokemon Reverse for possible Gust needs.

No babies means no way to stall Cargo while trying to set up a defense. Cargo. Can. One-shot. ANYTHING.

No Focus Band means no weak Water Pokemon getting a turn to get two Water Energy on them, to do an attack that does 40. (Mantine, EX Wartortle)

Would be quite funny to see this, though. I laughed when I saw how broken King/Sneasel was...I was thrilled to see the days of Gatr in MF1, as you either ran it, ran against it, or most likely lost...MF3 may share MF1's fate.

I await this eagerly.

What, like the pro-archetype attitude is supposed to be restricted to THIS company, and THIS TCG?
All card games run on archetypes. Magic is 90% archetypes. YGO is 90% archetypes. Pokemon was, for the most part, all archetypes before and during MF2. Pokemon will be archetype-based during MF3. Pokemon will be archetype based when it is under Nintendo.

Viva la unoriginality!

Cargo will NOT reign supreme if only NG and Ndisc are eliminated.

Cargo RELIES on focus band to keep it alive. There will be NOTHING out there to stop a well placed Wartortle or Mantine from taking out the Cargo on turn 2.

Also, Kingdra actually outspeeds Cargo at times.

Cargo, although he can one shot almost anything, once he takes his shots, he is usually weak for 1-2 turns while recharging.

I know entei-cargo will be prevelant, but it will fall to kingdra-swarm type decks.

But wait, there will be NO NG steelix or skarmory, so metal will be hampered quite a bit, leaving, grass ready to come back, which will hamper water, and strengthen cargo, which will strengthen water, which will strengthen grass, which will strengthen cargo, which leaves me to play to counter you all....EX Alakazam.

No more murkrow..hehehe, that will be the biggest loss in the post NG rotation for me. Heck, even with all the DG, switch, warp energy, and other retreating options, I still like the little bird.

We will see what N choose to do. We may only have to live with it for 2 months, then, the ADV block, or othe rules will take effect. MF3 may be the shortest block in history!

See you on the boards, or at my Next Great Tourney!

It will truly be one to remember, awaiting for permission to publicize!

Dont forget there is one little card that is not a tool and can be attached to Cargo at any time it is called Weakness Guard. No more fearing major water weakness anymore! [Bounce]

Ok, so what WILL be legal at GenCon?

- Legendary Collection I
- Expedition
- Aquapolis
- Skyridge

Question: Will Legendary Collection II be released by then?

Question: Will any additional promo cards be disallowed by then?
