I just wanted to ask if there was something on here confirming my Prof status...I found a list, but Im not on it yet, and I was just concerned since I am attending the Prof tourney at Origins.

The MTs will take the latest Professor list to Origins with them. Even though it may not be up on the website yet, you will be OK as long as you passed the test.

Yes, to sign up for the mailing list, you need to pass the Professor test. When you pass the test, the sign up for the mailing list is automatic. There is no other way to get on that list.
What you are able to sign up for here is access to the Professor forum and the custom Professor graphic under your screen name. You can do that after you pass the Professor test. As soon as your name is verified against the Official Wizards list of Professors, you will be granted access.

I think you are getting your lists confused. When you pass the Professor Test, your name is automatically added to the e-mail listserv, which means you will start receiving the Professor e-mails. That list is not something that is published anywhere. It is just a file containing the names of those who pass the Professor Test, and names are added as people pass the test.
The "Professor List", on the Wizards website, is a listing of all the Profesors who have passed the test and been verified by MTM. The list is sent to the web team by MTM and then posted. This takes anywhere from a day or two up to a week or two, depending on how busy MTM is at the time. that is why you got e-mail before your name showed up on the website list.
I use the website list to verify that people are actually Professors when they request access to the Professor forum and the custom Professor title/graphic under their screen name. Because there is sometimes a lag time between when someone passes the test and when their name shows up on that list, it sometimes takes a while to grant access to the Professor forum.
I hope this helps clarify the process.

Hey........
I passed the Professor test back in late April. Since then I have been receiving the Professor list emails which I enjoy reading...............but now I have changed my email address. I sent a request to update my email address for the Pokemon Professor list awhile back to MTM and the list , but I received not reply.......If someone can help here is the pertinent information.....

The name that you gave me in your original post (Alex Jacobson) has never showed up on the Official Wizards Professors list. You can check out that list at the following link:

Until your name appears on the Official list, I do not grant permissions for the Professor forum and custom Professor title under your screen name. you can check with Wizards Customer Service ([email protected]) if you feel there has been a problem with your name getting on that list.
When your name appears on the list, I will take care of authorizations here at PokeGym. I usually check the list and do updates once a week.
