kyogre ex rockets mewtwo rockets hitmonchan
am i right when i say it is just rockets mewtwo... last i heard is that wizards were not allowing any nintendo cards in modified whilst they still have license, and chan is not officially out yet.

You CANNOT use nintendo cards in any wizards sanctioned event I believe. You could proberly use it if your playing with a friend/s but thats all.
I would think Mewtwo would become legal this weekend.
Of course hitmonchan isn't legal...yet.

Chris,
The Nintendo Promo will be un-playable in a DCI tourney as it is not a WotC product.
And here in the UK since once 8 or 9 are out in the US then they would be legal to play even though we may never see them as a promo. There is plenty of TR stuff out there to compensate.
That's my view anyhow...

Come on guys, let's be serious.
Legal for what ???
DCI sanctioned tournaments ? That's almost the past. Nintendo tournaments ? Is that the future in our countries ? Maybe, but we don't know when.
Until further official notice, the cards I'll decide to be legal in the tournaments I'll run will be legal, period.

MICHEL,
so long as you announce WHETHER it is DCI or local/house rules... ok you CAN DO what you want.
BUT that may set a dangerous precedent *mumbles something from the last chat*
MAKE sure that you are clear with your local players & SBZ's... but IMO they are not allowed unless house rules are clearly announced for NON-DCI tourneys. [ June 03, 2003, 02:39 PM: Message edited by: IPGeek21 ]

Since when do we have SBZ in Europe?
Even for the BZ promo/winnercards you have to beg and go on your knees, hoping you get them to give to your players.

IPGeek,
I will never run a DCI sanctioned tournament in another format than the official DCI formats.
But if I want to run a 'private' event (non sanctioned tournament, I'm quite sure I may play any format if the players are informed and have time to prepare their decks.
If we don't have DCI tournaments anymore, and if Nintendo/TPC don't propose OP, we are free to run the tournaments we want and use the format we like (and the players like), no ?
But I want to be very clear, DCI sanctioned with DCI rules and format, private with private format. No mix
