First off, I'm not sure if this should be in TCG News or in the RTC. If I posted this in the wrong area, sorry about that.

I thought I would come over here and post info on the latest Pokemon set in Japan.

The set is called Pokemon Advance Adventure. It will feature new Pokemon from the Pokemon Ruby and Pokemon Sapphire games.

The cards feature a new look. They are silver and feature the color for what type they are. Something interesting though, on the 6 cards shown so far, none have a barcode for the e-reader. The cards don't have the Card-e look, so that's not too surprising. But hopefully we see some barcodes for these Pokemon in the future.

It's kinda hard to describe the look for the cards. So here is a link to the Pokemon Card site in Japan: http://www.pokemon-card.com/
And here is a link to a page that shows off the Stage 2 of Mudkip and the cute red cat (you can also see a McDonalds Mudkip promo there too). http://www.pokemon-card.com/products/index.html

The cards will be released in Japan next month - a for sure date hasn't been given though. If I read it correctly, there will be 3 decks (one with each of the 3 starting Pokemon: Treecko, Torchic, and Mudkip), plus 11 card booster packs.
The decks will cost 900 yen and the packs will cost 300 yen.

With the release of this set, a new rule will be introduced into the game. It is the Double Battle rule. As you may know, in Pokemon Ruby and Pokemon Sapphire you can battle with 2 Pokemon on the field. The Double Battle Rule will bring this into the card game. No specifics were given on how this will work though.

I believe that is it for now. I hope I didn't forget anything. I'll be posting this news story on my site for the Saturday update, but I thought it was too cool/interesting to wait. [Wink]

Hopefully we learn more about these cards before their release next month in Japan.

Oh. My. God. A Double Battle rule? That sounds awesome. I can't wait for the cards to come out in American.

Pokemon card that feature Ruby/Sapphrie? That was amazing! In Malaysia,we use English version of the card.We are slower than America. So,we have to wait for a long time to see your cards.

The new set introduces double battle? Looks like I have to buy a playmat again...
