Hello! There are TWO Mewtwo's in Vending. Those your copy-cats (remember, they're clones of Mew)!!!! There's also a Ditto, so that counts as well.

One Mewtwo: http://www.nick15.com/pokemon/5-pokemon-tcg-info/1 3-vending-machine/safari-zone/009-mewtwo.jpg
Two Mewtwo: http://www.nick15.com/pokemon/5-pokemon-tcg-info/1 3-vending-machine/safari-zone/010-mewtwo.jpg

And Ditto: http://www.nick15.com/pokemon/5-pokemon-tcg-info/13 -vending-machine/safari-zone/003-ditto.jpg

(Side note: Obviously Ditto will recieve a major errata, as it's the same as Fossil Ditto only with a coin flip.)

More on Vending-as-Legendary; Wizards could have easily released Zapdos as a league promo, but I'll bet they're saving it for Legendary while giving us a little-less popular Electric Pokémon from the same Vending set. [Smile] Ditto on Magmar vs. Moltres.

I can't stress it enough; all signs point to Vending!

According to my calculations (and based on memory since Pokemon Aaah! is down again), there are about 108 cards in the Vending Series. Of these, 2 have come in sets (Master Ball and Max Revive in Gym: Challenge and 4 have already come out as promos (Pikachu, Pokemon Tower, Magmar, and Scyther). That leaves 102 cards. Of the remaining amount, 3 are rumored promos (Electabuzz, Omastar, and Snorlax). That leaves 99 Vending Set cards. There will be 110 cards in the Legendary Collection set. That's 11 reprints, one of which would be Bill and one (more than likely) Dark Golbat (in order to use Dark Crobat when Modified gets modified). That leaves 9 reprints we don't know about. I don't think they'll re-release that few cards, so lets say that 30 cards are re-release. That leaves 69 Vending Set cards. If the Electabuzz is a part of Legendary Collection, then that's 68 Vending Set cards unidentified. That'll give us 78 Vending Cards in the US.

I may be way off base, but this is a good way to boost sales of the new set while enocouraging the use of some of the old cards.

Also note that this is nothing but one person's speculation. I'm just using numbers that would make sense to me on what should be put in this new set.

Now wait a second, what about Basic Energy? I think that would be in this kind of set...

I'm thinking that the name of this tread should be changed to "Why my city should host Worlds 2003." - The Fish King on the Location of Worlds 2003

There's a new site on the block, it's called Cerulean Caverns. I'm looking for people to send in some articles to get the ball rolling!

This is meant to be a draft friendly set - since you do not draft energy, it is more than possible that this set will not include it.

Nick15 - I hope your right!
That second Mewtwo is a bit strange, its first attack can remove Asleep and Paralyze effects, but how could you use it if you were afflicted by them?

Mew or Mewtwo look to be the logical ones-there's more than a few promo Mews out there (and precious few play-worthy,alas),and we do have the solid MP Mewtwo in the promos, letting it see Modifed play.

Arcanine is a DOG,people. And if we don't see "Ditto the Confusing",I'm OK.

This is meant to be a draft friendly set

Chances are the rest of the cards in the set will be filled by Stage 2 evos. Problem with Vending was it left open a lot of evos (Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle lacked their Stage 2 evos). Now as to WHERE these stage 2 evos will come from is unclear. I'll bet that they'll be promo cards that wouldn't be released in the US otherwise.
