I'm hoping the guys upstairs will read this post, as I find it rather important.

If there is going to be a World Championships, will it be in America. I find it rather annoying that most of the things happening are always in America. I know WOTC is mainly situated in America, but it's not really fair on the other countries

Australia, has lost its interest in Pokemon Cards because of the lack of things that actually promote the actual game. I know there is a WOTC branch here in Australia, but they don't organise anything. There once was a big convention in 2000. But there wasn't anything interesting there.

I'm requesting this because I know it will be good for WOTC IF they did do this, because it would promote the actual game, making more people like it. I'm hoping that WOTC will consider having the World Championships over here. You know do a lot of advertising, boost up sales. OR you could have an Australian Tournament or something, and then fly the finalists over to America where they will compete with the top few finalists of America.

I'm loosing interest in Pokemon because all I can do is make a deck, and then verse myself. I like battling, but I rarely find anyone who will. A World tournament here will boost up popularity, hopefully allowing more events to go around here. It's just boring boring boring!!!!

I know it's a giant ask, but it does benefit people both sides. Maybe even hold it in the Capital, Canberra ? I'll sure appreciate it, and anyone who is still liking Pokemon here, and has nothing to do will also like it.

I'd like to thank all those you have read this, especially WOTC staff. Please consider this.

There's something you aren't taking into consideration here Mew...

It generally makes more sense for Wizards to hold the events in America because:

1. Most of the Pokemon players live in the Untited States.
2. WOTC can afford to pay to have 15 or so players from other countries fly over here and compete.
3. WOTC can, but not easily, afford to send thousands of American players to Australia to compete.
4. For that matter, there are (And this is from what I have seen) more players in Europe that there are in Australia. It would make more sense to hold it somewhere in Europe than somewhere in Australia. If I am wrong about the fact about more players in Europe, please let me know and provide proof.

If WOTC were to hold some big international tournament in Australia, it would cost them an arm and a leg. If they were to hold it in the U.S., it would cost them less, less money to dish out for international winners to come and compete and less money to just rent out a big convention center, while at the same time, the tournament would recieve more attendees.

I personally kinda like the idea of Canberra too, but I think it's kinda out of the line for Wizards. It's just a little more appropriate to hold it somewhere like San Fransisco, or Seattle, or New York, or somewhere like that...

I've heard that there is nobody at all playing in Zimbabwe, so I think we should have Worlds there to stimulate more interest.

I realize that it might be difficult and very expensive to hold the World Championship there, but it will benefit both sides.

Thanks.

(If Zimbabwe doesn't pan out, there's nobody playing in Iraq either.)

Since this isn't really TCG News, I am moving this to the Random Topic Center... [Tap]

I am also editing your topic title, since the "request" isn't from WotC, but TO WotC...just for clarity's sake. Thanks for understanding.
