I think that the reverse foil system really hurt collectors, also only getting 9 cards in a pack hurts, sure getting 3 rairss at times is nice... but its costing a bit to try to finnish the set.

--------------------
Erica total 24, thats right, 24.
Dunsprace total 41.
I've gotten 98 on that Machoke at work game. I beat Driving Corasola.
I almost beat the record in Hold Down hip hop. I got 2000 or so in Kinglers day. I got 7 in Rapadash's dash. Butterfree's Flower Power 4700. 123 In Jumping Dodoro. My all foil deck is finished.

Personally, I think the set is pretty good. The Supporter Trainer idea slows down the game, but there are at least a dozen or more decent tourney-level cards in this set. Here's my top 12 list:

12. Tyranitar - a 120HP monster that can be very powerful if you have enough support cards to keep it alive longer
11. Prof Oak's Research - will replace Prof Elm in Modified someday
10. Poliwrath - the next SWARMING deck
9. Prof Elm's Training Method - makes evolution decks much quicker
8. Wartortle - a one-attack Magcargo/Entei killer
7. Metal Energy - finally, a cheaper (non-holo) version of a card that was nearly impossible to get other's to trade away
6. Mewtwo - poor man's version of Espeon
5. Strength Charm - make bench attackers truly FUN (until the current ruling changes)
4. Venusaur - when combined with Meganium, a very efficent attacker
3. Vileplume - great power and low cost / high damage attack, and is a great combo with the new Butterfree
2. Copycat - makes your opponent think twice about letting his hand get too big
1. Pokemon Nurse - suits any low energy Pokemon very well

Also, here's my list of top features in the set:

1. Babies now cost something to retreat. This is a nice counter to those who abuse the free-retreat / must-flip-to-attack features of babies, thereby making the game more strategic and less luck-based.

2. Many of the attacks have colorless energy requirements. This makes multi-colored decks much easier to use.

3. Generally, most stage 1/2 Pokemon have higher HP.

4. The introduction of BURNED makes status-attacking strategies more interesting.

Finally, I disagree that collectors don't like reverse foils. I'm a collector, and I LOVE collecting reverse foils. As a player, I also LOVE "throwing down" that reverse foil Oddish.

I'm very excited about the whole set...although the Arbok...that's up there with LC Rhydon [NoNoNo]

Anywho...another to add to Steve's twelve....Butterfree.

Come on...a free Full Heal...it's re-goshdarn-diculous.
Plus no retreat cost and an alright attack.

(just waiting to get my hands on more of them)

What for...oh..I'll never you that [Devilish]

I agree Psychic_Prof about Butterfree. I'm currently playtesting a Vileplume/Butterfree combo that does very well.
