Let me just start by saying I would like to dispel some of the rumors I have heard/seen lately.

1. Iam still Dark Master Trainer Mike.

2. I have moved into a different position here at WotC in that capacity. Yeah!

3. I will be much more involved in Pokémon!

4. You will see a lot of me here on the Gym and on the Web.

5. Most importantly, Sneasel is still in the box! [Evil Smirk]

THIS is for the person who started those rumors: -

Many in the online community (including me) were severely - - - at the supposed "news".

Just goes to show that we can't trust everything we read, or everyone who posts... -

W00t, the DMTM is still here. But, come on, show some sympathy on the poor little sneasel. He's been in the box for quite a while.

DMTM...if sneasel stays in the box any longer it'll become rabid! [Eek!] You must let it out now! Lol, I'm glad to see the rumors are not true.

As to follow suit with the others:

Glad to see you back -- now let the poor archetype, I mean poor Pokemon out of the box! [Big Grin]

--------------------
What, like the pro-archetype attitude is supposed to be restricted to THIS company, and THIS TCG?
All card games run on archetypes. Magic is 90% archetypes. YGO is 90% archetypes. Pokemon was, for the most part, all archetypes before and during MF2. Pokemon will be archetype-based during MF3. Pokemon will be archetype based when it is under Nintendo.

Viva la unoriginality!

This is great news (I hope). So DMTM, what new position have you moved into? Lying down, crouching, leaning, upside-down, kneeling, what? [Big Grin]

Seriously though, we out here are glad for you and hope that many others in the Pokemon TCG department at WOTC were fortunate like you.

Re: 3 - More involved!!!!! Good times. But how much more involved are you going to get???? Quick those of you Advanced Rulebook Version 7 (from the LC theme decks), check out the "Credits" page. Look under "English-Language Version" and look at the "Game Development" names - Andrew Finch, Kierin Chase, Mike Boozer, and Michael Gills. I'm waiting for Card-E theme decks to hit so i can compare the names again (i was bored one day and had Rulebook Versions 5, 6, and 7 and decided to compare the Credits - imagine my surprise when i saw Kierin, DMTM and MTM as part of the developers for this game!!!
