Heads up guys,I know this might be the wrong place but I'm in need of some help.I live in the UK and last year my son and me attended Worlds in Seattle(great event)where I bought an electro-flip.It subsequently got busted and I've searched high and low to replace it but nothing at all in the UK.Can anyone tell me where I can get one(or send off for one)? Thanks

Your best bet is online. The company that makes Electroflips has a shopping website, however I can't remember the URL. Try searching for it. Best of luck.

Electro-flip devices aren't sanctioned-tournament legal, are they?

Electroflips ARE tourney-legal; they were useable at Worlds and at the Stadium/Gym Challenges and Super Trainer Showdowns. They must be placed where both players can clearly see the 'heads/tails' result.
The E-Card reader/Chansey card are NOT legal, as I understand it; none of the e-reader functions can be used in sanctioned gameplay. I believe this question came up in chat when the reader/card were released. [ May 22, 2003, 06:29 AM: Message edited by: WizPog_PokeMom ]

Beware if your opponent INSISTS on using an electro-flip. The ones I bought at the San Diego STS are susceptable to "finger-studdering." That is, you can press the button very quickly after the initial press-result, resulting in a possible different result. I've seen players use this technique to their advantage. I've also seen players subtly shield their opponent's view in an attempt to get the flip they need. Finally, because the heads/tails results goes away after a few seconds, it's impossible to appeal to the head judge. Personally, I HIGHLY DISCOURAGE the use of the electro-flip device. Plus, I seemed to remember that Electro-flips were actually DISALLOWED at the Seattle Worlds. Am I wrong?
