I was excited with Skyridge coming out, but when I saw the cards today... I was a bit.... dissapointed . I mean don't get me wrong, there are a bunch of USEFUL cards( from what I have seen so far, which is a bit), but I don't think really Skyridge is all that great, and most pokes/trainers probably wont be seen at tourneys. Anyone else agree, or has cards to (hopefully) prove me wrong?

I am SO SO with the set. I see a some cards that have some good use to them outside of the modified format and such. So far out of the three E-sets that have come out Aquapolis have been my favorit.

Geesh, I thought this may have been the best of the three sets to widen the game even further.

That "Sage" card will rock during team battle, where you can give your teammate whatever card he or she wants to the top of their deck. How cool is that?

That "undersea fossil" basic pokemon will actually make that Kabutops deck playable (as if it wasn't already), but, man, the mulligan worries go down considerably. Team that with the new "no evolve" kabutops, and you have a powerhouse on your hands.

Now, as for the plates, ehh, no, not for me.

As for the crystals, yeah! Another card to e-bay!

This e-series has been the BEST series of cards released yet for balance and playability since, ever.

Look at the modified format. You have players arguing about which Kingdra to play, now they will be mixing Kabutops, you have the old crobat to worry about, now the new one (not the crystal one), you have GATR coming back on the scene with Parasect, you have St. Louis lightning cube decks, east coast Espeon decks, chicago noc-lock decks, west coast entei-cargo decks, and all of the other decks such as Light Dragonite, Umbreon, Dark Gengar, and Typhlosion that still have to be reckoned with!

Right now in our house we have six decks (preSKY) ready to go:
Crobat/Muk, Kingdra/Magcargo, Kingdra/Jumpluff, Typhlosion/Magcargo, Lightning Cube, ExAlakazam.

Heck, now I have to make a Kabutops Deck and a Phophecy Entei/Cargo! Not to mention toying with a few new ideas!

Blecch, they sure ruined Wigglytuff, didn't they? Flip a coin? Blecch.

Skyridge is the perfect cap to a great series of cards. More crystals, more options, great trainers, more fun!

I just bought a case of Skyridge. I have yet to open any, but I'm confident that I can find plenty of cards worth playing.

Here's hoping that the new producer gives us a format or formats in which the E sets have value...

I really like the set, and i especially like the way the expedition/aquapolis/skyridge had themes in pokémon powers, trainer card, everything! The Miracle Spheres and Mystery Plates add great flavor to the game. The Mystery Plates can turn games around, and their really fun in casual play. The Miracle Spheres may bring back to life a controversy to the narrow-minded theory of multi-color being bad.

All in all, i think you're appreciation for Skyridge is dependant on how you play the game, as it has a little bit for everyone, the team players, the casual players, the high-stakes tourrney player, or the lil kid who throws legendary pokemon into their deck the first chance they get. I think it's an awesome end to an awesome run for wizards, and I'm eager to see Nintendo of America top Skyridge.

I don't think their should have been reverse foil crystals tho. The boxtoppers were awesome tho!

Bands that kick arse! Adema, Hoobastank, Linkin Park, Staind, Mudvayne, Slipknot, Taproot, Dry Cell, Korn, Sevendust... and some more I'm too lazy to think of...

Check out POKéMART!

Skyridge is a great set. Some trainers are good in many decks. Now, the trainers I would to have are Fisherman (Dust to Energy retrival cards!!! [Evil Smirk] ), Lure Ball, Fast Ball, Underground Exploration, Mirage Stadium (with confusion as your special condition, boy its getting crowded!!!! [Evil Smirk] ) and Cyclone Energy.

The pokemon here are very playable!! Alakazam with a better version of Neo-Discovery Espeon's Psychic Attack and others...!!!

well i thought the set was not as good but then i looked at the overhaul.for instance all the trainers are decent(meaning there isnt one unuseful trainer in the set),also when looking at the pokemon i see grat ones such as the beedrill, gengar, gyrados, alakazam, machamp, andnot to mention usable crystals this time.as for the energy i cant say due tothe fact that bounceenergy is the only good one IMO,but in spite of this i still dont have my box yet.

I personally like the set. I think there are quite a few playable cards in it (but this is coming from a person who is just coming back to the game). Is it just me or is the Omastar from this set quite playable.
