well a couple of months ago i wrote a topic about a books-a-million league closing down for a yugioh league. Well now the yugioh league is gone and now we(fellow savannah players) offered to set the league back up and promised to help boost sales for them in exchange for the league back but they said no. now there is an new league about 40 minutes away but i am unable to contact them because the phone number on the battlezone list is disconnected and the old is listed as having a league. so i called the old league to ask if indeed they had started it back up but they had no knowledge of any battlezone kit. So i ask Wizards does this place have the kit and is selling it online or an error in your database and where is this Brunswick league. I think maybe you should look into this problem.

Either way there are still at least 20 players that still wish to play but cannot and wish to buy the new cards but are forced to buy them from your online website. I sincely wish that you reconsider your policy on selling kits to non-retail sites because you can always make the leader sign an agreement not to sell the kits and you'll still money from the continuation of the game.

And also i don't see why that almost every league is in a big city whether you realize it or not your largest customer base is outside the large cities but in rural america. I beleive if you correct this error then you would inrease your profits exponentually.

If you have a simular situation sign off here and maybe things will change for this addictive game.

You could do what others, myself included, have done and run cash prize tournaments at a park or someone's house. Or run it for boosters. Or just run your own league-type thing.

I really do doubt that Wizards will reconsider their stance on selling to independent people.

Wotc does not sell kits to individuals because of several reasons. One of the reasons is because of sales. BattleZone is here to boost sales for retailers and promote the game-- running a BZ out of your home defeats that purpose. There are also other issues, such as the validity of someone running a league in their home, many people who do not know you would not feel comfortable going to a stranger's house or leaving their children with someone they do not know.

I too have noticed there are a good many locations listed as running BattleZone (particularly, larger retail chains) who will have no idea what you're talking about if you call. A lot of this has to do with who you're talking to, ask to speak to the manager. Often times employees are uninformed about the leagues that are being run in a particular store.

You could always have like an entry fee...and maybe like you could have it go to paying the store for letting you in or something...
